Honeybees have been dying at an alarming rate for the last three years or so. Thanks to the systemic market failure of agriculture, man-managed honeybees are the only thing that can pollinate a big proportion of our monoculture crops (although, the bourgeois mind would see nothing wrong with slave labor chain gangs doing it instead....)

A conference this week at Oxford declared the oceans were on the brink of catastrophe - things are much worse than feared, with all the hallmarks of the sixth great extinction event we are all currently living through.

The bourgeoisie have no legitimacy - 2008 saw to that as the final nail in the coffin. The bourgeois mind, in fact, is dangerously retrograde. We must cultivate (pun intended) new ways of thinking, new ways of producing, and new ways of living. This is called REVOLUTION - and either we can choose to do it, or Gaia will put an end to the bourgeois mind with one of the universe's largest biyotch slaps.

The real world outside the back door always wins. Nature has the final veto, always.

Right... so we should choose the environmental panaceas created by the USSR, China, North Korea, etc.... Right?

Absolutely not!

This is not the Cold War, sjt18. Both Communism and Capitalism have failed comprehensively. We need to assess the way we make dog food, the way we grow almonds, the way we forage for lunch, the way we work, eat, move, and breathe. In short, we have to reassess our culture and our lives.

There is one word for this: Revolution.

Personally, I think the 7th great extinction is the one to hang around for. Hope they serve Pringles at the pre-party.

We may make it to #7 (as a species, not you or me). Emphasis on may.

If they don't serve Pringles, they will be serving market failure. :)
