Burrow put together the best statistical season from a college quarterback in history in 2019, and went on to win the Heisman and National Championship.

Hooker’s college stats are also helped by a magnificent senior season, as Hooker was one of the best college football players in 2022.
Hooker does have a seven-game advantage on Burrow in terms of appearances at the college level, but Burrow also played with arguably the top two current NFL wide receivers in Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase while at LSU.
The two quarterbacks’ final stats from their college careers are below.

Hooker: 632 completions on 944 attempts for 8,974 yards, 80 TD, 12 INT

Burrow: 650 completions on 945 attempts, 8,852 yards, 78 TD, 11 INT

But not good enough to get an invite to New York 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not HH's fault, the HT people's brains are mislocated in the lower rear cavity instead of the top end of their anatomy.

" The first time I ever met the NCAA, the first day... Tennessee was ambushed. And captured. And caged. By you, the NCAA. I learned more about good and evil in that one day than I ever have before or since. I was thirteen at the time. When I think about evil, whenever I think about the concept of evil, the NCAA is what I see. I don't have to "watch you", NCAA. I can smell you" -Apologies to Katherine Pryde, Astonishing X-Men Team

Burrow was not viewed as even a 5th round pick coming into his finl year.

That senior year he finished with
5800 yards passing
60 TD passing.

He almost doubled Hendons senior season.
That SR. season is what got him drafted so high.

He wasn't the same caliber player from the previous year.

His stock is rising despite his injury. Saw one mock draft that has him going to the Vikings at pick 24. From Bruce Feldman-
The Coaching Intel

“He was much better live and on tape than I thought he was gonna be. At first, it was like, ‘Uh, this guy’s alright,’ but then you keep watching and it’s, ‘Uh, my God. This guy has grown leaps and bounds in a year.’ He’s got a cannon. When you look at that Tennessee system, it’s clear that it is a half-field read, where a lot of times half of the receivers aren’t running routes. I think he will have a learning curve making the leap.”

“I think he’s super underrated. He played in two significantly different offenses. I was super impressed with him both in our game and on tape. I know in that offense he’s throwing into space and reading the leverage of the defender, where they spread you out so much more horizontally in one-on-one situations, so he probably only saw Quarters (coverage) and Man. He’s not reading, ‘Are they rolling strong, rolling weak, reading Cover 2,’ but he would sit in the pocket and hang tough. He can make all throws, can throw with touch. He might not run straight-line as fast as Levis, but I think he’s able to escape and create better and has much better pocket presence.”

“Big Hendon fan. He was the smartest of the three QBs we saw (Richardson, Levis and Hooker). I like his decision-making and he has a really quick release. That system really fit him. I thought he was a Donovan McNabb-type. Obviously, he got that ACL (injury). I think he’s really underrated. I think Hendon’s arm might be better than Levis’.

I don't get the Levis hype at all.

Admittedly I only saw him play against Tennessee, but considering how bad our defense was statistically I can't say that he shined whatsoever.

If he was that good should he not have lit up our defense and not lost two years in a row?

I admit to being biased but if I was a NFL GM with the # 1 draft pick I would take H.Hooker 100 times out of 100.

If he can stay healthy I honestly believe he can become 1 of the very best QB's in the NFL.

Build a O line around him to keep him safe and that can also grade the road for the RB's.

Then get WR's and TE's that can get open and catch the ball and watch the O zoom to the endzone.

With that O just a decent D that's middle of the pack or a bit better and start adding up the SuperBowl Wins.

My NFL draft would be a total success if my Titans could go get HH!!!

VFL...GBO!!!

Will Levis is terrible in my opinion. Would make a play 1 out of every 5 opportunities. And there’s this: REPORT: Top Quarterback Prospect Is “Bombing” His Pre-Draft Interviews In Horrifying Fashion: “Arrogance, Entitlement. Plus… Just Bizarre”

I think most of us will be extremely surprised if Levis isn't a huge bust. Great QBs (and even very good ones) elevate the play of those around them, especially the skill players. I watched several of KY's games and, as the kids say, he ain't it. And always with the excuses afterwards from both him and his overrated coach.

Not suprising at all.

You can read that sentiment on his face during games. He never patted his chest to say "my bad". A lot of Jay Cutler in him.

He doesn't have it between the ears.
He was garbage last year....

Watching him play where he decides to run right up in to DL and LBs while acting like a tough guy spitting teeth out told me last year that he doesn't have good sense. Omari Thonas nearly ended his life in Neyland last year. The broadcasters and fans just rave over how passionate and tough this QB is.
Now ask yourself a serious Question ... Could you ever see Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton, or Dan Marino making a decision like that early in the 2nd Q on a 2nd down in a one score game? No, you can't.
This guy is dumb as a box of rocks, IMO.

I think that when the smart people take their turn, Hooker will go before Levis!

I think Hooker is a lock to be a first rounder. There’s so much buzz about him that I can see him going in the early-mid 20’s. Seattle could take him with their second first round pick, the Saints are an interesting one, Vikings since they want to get off of Cousins.

Minnesota would be a great landing spot for him. Great offensive mind (O’Connell) and Justin Jefferson in his prime….they’d be fun to watch if he finds success.
