...it was the Jimmy Graham show. Dude's like 6'6"-6'7" and Drew Brees says...."He's NEVER covered."

Likewise, Justin Hunter....Titan's timid about putting him on the field as a rookie. 2 Catches in the NFL....2 touchdown's....Highlight reel, High-point TD catches. Point being, in this Saturday matchup....let's not be scared. We got 3 massive WR's to throw to. Put it up near the rim and let 'em dunk it, as it were.

If only Drew Brees were our QB.

Kind of funny that anybody thinks it's the scheme that's the problem at this point.

I like it! Only problem i see is getting close enough to the end zone to throw the jump ball. We need a TE to get heathy and open up the middle of the field. Then the corners open up.

They haven't been timid about putting him on the field. They just have a lot of receivers and he started lower on the rotation, but has moved up each week.

Can't really fault the playcalling if Worley makes the right decision on the right read on the right call but overthrows his man.

If you saw the LSU/UGA game... there were passes that Mettenburger had no business throwing but he make a fantastic throw and the receiver made a physical play on the ball and got it.

That game showed the huge gulf between QBs and QBs alone... not even the fact that LSU/UGA have veteran receivers compared to our plethora of 1st/2nd year guys.

Going from watching our game to watching the UGA/LSU game, I was thoroughly depressed at the talent gap between UT and Georgia and LSU. It's quite shocking to see how far we have fallen in talent!

Its not that shocking really when you think about it. All of Kiffin's recruits and players either decommited to go to USC or got in trouble with the law. The ones that didn't are already in the NFL.

Dooley was one of the worst recruiters in the nation, the only reason why we were in the top 30 in recruiting classes was because we could use tradition combined with playing in front of 100,000 people in the SEC.

Butch actually had us in the running to get some of the big guys in this past Draft class and he had only had the job for 3 months. That's pretty damn impressive in and of itself.

Yes we do need a big time QB who can be a dual threat or at the very least who has a cannon for an arm that is accurate with it when he throws.

Don't let some of these people hear you say that.

AJ Branisel made a good adjustment on a touchdown pass this past weekend, but Downs seems to get the majority of the snaps. I assumed it was because Downs was the better blocker, but I saw at least 2 times SA went right around him to get to JW or at the least pressure him.

Maybe we see more Branisel this weekend.

very good. They made some tough catches in traffic. Of course, the tiger offense played well until it really mattered. They had a chance to win the game with their last drive and failed. Reminded me of Bray & Co.--very good until it mattered.

I've been beating this horse: I would put Croom at TE and give Worley a big target to hit fairly quickly within 10 or 15 yards of the line of scrimmage. IMO, that would be a smart use of Croom. Instead, we've got Worley, a largely inexperienced QB who is not the most talented passer, trying to complete passes FARTHER DOWN THE FIELD to freshman receivers. IMO, that is a dumb use of our personnel. The coaches should be maximizing our chances to make first downs. Putting Croom at TE would do that.

Can Croom catch with his feet?

I shouldn't have said that.
I feel bad now.

I would like to see Pig Howard get some snaps at QB. He's a threat to run and maybe he can complete the 10 yard pass. If nothing else, it would give Worley relief and save the red shirts for Dobbs & Fergie.

Pig is 5'8 and 185 pounds. I don't think he should take any snaps at QB whether it's wildcat or otherwise.
