Breakout QB's: Ainge #5 and Schaefer #2

Schaeffer was scrambler and not a thinking quarterback. Unless he's really matured I don't see him breaking out.

I think Schaefer has a chance to have a solid year for the Rebs.

I have no idea what to make of his rankings. He is basically saying that if these 5 QBs had performed as expected when they were freshman, they would be mentioned in the same breath as Brady Quinn, Chad Henne, Troy Smith, and Brian Brohme. However, since they haven't, they still have the potential, but lets not hold our breaths...

Schaeffer hasn't exactly earned his academic entry into OM yet. I understand it's possible but still iffy.

I hate to bad mouth a young man...but, BS has no discipline on or off the field and for this reason, I can't see him being very successful in either place. End of Story.

dont forget he had a great year last year at some school no one's ever heard of, playing against a bunch of guys that no one's ever heard of, so of course BS is going to return Ole Miss to the glory days and make everyone forget about archie manning

College of the Sequoias? It's one of the main JUCO circuit schools D-I transfers use to go through.

But, yes, it's still many steps down from the SEC. Most D-I players could rack up big stats on the JUCO circuit.

In response to your earlier post. Orgeron has commented on the situation plenty. He was the reason everyone found out Schaeffer wasn’t going to be making it for the second summer session, b/c he mentioned it on a radio interview. They originally expected him to be able to get in by June, but his junior college didn’t do graduation until June 10, so the first of July became the date. Then I believe they found out he had to do a couple correspondence courses to meet some other NCAA requirement, so now the date has been changed to the first of August.

I have never ever heard or seen anyone even remotely hint at that, but okay.

Will he know the entire playbook by Sept.?
