hopson missing that dunk

Changed the game. Embarassing

He's got an amazingly high ego for such a piss poor basketball player. You could tell how big his ego was getting when hubert was interviewing him before the game during shootaround..

He doesn't deserve the attention espn gives him.
Scotty Hopson has the attitude of a middle school boy. He's just a punk, plain and simple.

We need Scotty to step up and quit showboating. An easy layup off the glass would have been a big difference. Vandy scored about 10-0 after that showboating, dumb play.

if he had hit the dunk you'd be saying it was a game changer that sparked the crowd and momentum.... give him a break. he missed a dunk.

He's missed WAY more than just that dunk. When you're 0-7 from the floor, you make sure you get the easy ones.

then i guess we just need to kick him off the team.

Right.. Bc that's the only other option instead of asking for one of the highest rated players to ever come to Tennessee to actually play smart basketball.

Here's something that should put Hopson's underacheivement in perspective... He's the only player from his McDonald's All-America class that isn't in the NBA -- And he is proving why.

that was my rationale.. not urs

nevermind man.

hopson has been given breaks for his absolutely s$%&*y ball handling and poor attitude and body language for 3 years. i personally am done giving him a "break" in my mind.

i never said kick him off the team, you said that in an attempt to make my opinion look stupid by exaggerating. i do think he deserves some pine time however.

of course he deserves criticism. Im not a Hopson lover, his ups and downs has cost us games imo. However, i understand his rationale for going for the big dunk - it would have ignited the crowd far more than a layin off the glass. It's all a matter of perspective

Hopson has been an underacheiver since he been here. He has some good games from time to time but he is not a leader in any way. I have always thought he was not going to live up to the hype since I first saw him play. Its a shame, he has talent but no mental toughness or HEART.

Scotty showed up in the second half---to his credit. We really need him to play well. I still say a layup off the glass and the 2 points are better than a showboating miss. Especially at that point of the game where nobody could find the bottom of the net. Tobias is a good example. He is into scoring points and not showboating, even if it means laying them on the glass. We need points---not ESPN highlights on individual plays.

He has some balls that were apparently going out in the 2nd half though.

Can I simply ask everyone why Hopson was deemed the leader of this team?
There are plenty of players across the country that are not leaders but good players....dont dog a guy for intangibles he doesnt have..
