Did anyone hear him yell after he dunked the ball late in the game? That was utterly disgraceful...

I don't think that it is his fault that he will be considered a bust when he is done here...I agree with you though, no need to do that, like Troy Smith doing jig after scoring a meaningless TD.

I seriously hope this is sarcasm and I just missed it. It's amazing how so many people on here fold their tents up and go home every chance they get. Yes it is a bad loss, but to say he will be a bust as a sophomore is a little premature. Robert Meachem didn't break out until he was a jr., and as long as Wayne Chism is on this team they will be hurting.
The bust talk should start with Chism and end there. He is absolutely horrible and it makes me sick when he jacks up prayers from 22 feet and beyond. He doesn't do anything well, except shoot constantly. Hopson is the only player that is playing up to his potential right now, but he can't carry an entire team. Maze is pathetic, Tatum can't hit a free throw, and I don't know what has happened to Tyler Smith. To call a 19-20 year old kid a bust is a travesty, and while I generally agree with you on most posts, I will agree to disagree on this one.

This is the last thing I am worried about. Tyler has to score 15-20 a game for us to be a top ten team and Chism has to stay down.

He was just letting out some frustration. Be thankful that SOMEONE on the team showed some emotion. If he could have slammed it through the floor, he would have.

How can you call Chism a bust? He's had dependable numbers all four years. He's very consistent..maybe our most consistent player and also one of the hardest workers. Expectations for Chism weren't that high coming in..or at least not as high as the McDonalds All-American Scotty Hopson, so it's ridiculous to call Wayne a bust. You are right about his poor shot selections. He hurts us from the outside and for us to succeed we need our only true big man down low posting up and rebounding.

He needs a attitude adjustment. To much showboat, not enough overall game. He needs to learn defense is part of basketball too. He's done that before, the little spin after the big dunk too. Like i said in a earlier post, most of this team is more concerned about how pretty they look out there than playing gritty tough basketball. Until they figure out it's a team game this is going to be another disappointing year.

How about showing some emotion from the tipoff and not when you're getting embarrassed by a horrible team?

Hopson doesn't 'suck' he is just extrmely timid. He shows flashes of being a stud. The USC fans keep asking why he doesn't drive more.

Maze is lousy, but he actually plays with the most heart in my opinion.

he does like to jack up 3.sduring the purdue game maze drove right, and instead of rolling to the basket,he rolls behind the three point line,we wont be any better next year only signing a 6,3 pg/sg a 6,8 sg and a 6,8 power foward, unless tobias is a beast 23 and 13 and the others get in the act with ony harris, kenny hall and williams and woolridge as our front court, looks painful uless guards play like lofton and jujuan

Hopson is way too soft. I may just be part of his nature. I'd like to see him grow a pair and get a little more aggresive.

I saw it, and thought it displayed how much we are playing for the name on our back instead of the name on our chest.

are you telling me that this team is made up of a bunch of "Me" guys? i can't believe it, i thought JP was the ideal model of a team player

I guess he shouldn't have even taken the shot. I mean, the game was lost, so why try to show any fight or emotion? Just lay down and die, right?

It looks like I am in the minority, but I thought the problem was that our guys didn't make enough plays worthy of a chest thump and not that they celebrated after making a good play.

Personally, I was glad to see a little fire out of Scotty, even if it was too little too late. I'd be happy to see him yell at the crowd and dance a jig 25 times each game if it immediately follows posterizing someone.

there's a difference in still fighting even tho the game is over, and yelling after a dunk when ur down 20 something. the yelling is a "look at me" type deal.

Hopson was also a stud on the defensive end. i remember in the first half he had a grand opportunity to take a charge, instead he steps out of the way so the guy could have a lay up. disgusting.
