Okay, you enter the NBA draft in a year, when even my grandmother knows that there will be no season and
you won't get paid that year, even if you are drafted.
Why not play at U.T. an additional season, improve and try to get drated when you know that there will be a season.
The only logical reason that I could see as to why he entered the draft early was maybe he was going to be an academically ineligible this season and he knew it.

one poster said on here back when scotty left for the draft, that the reason was next year's draft was going to be even stronger than this year's. he said that scotty probably thought he had a better chance to make it this year. i don't think so, i agree with people who say he should have stayed another year to hone his game. i really beieve scotty was fed up with the college game and did what he thought was best. i think he knew he would not be drafted and would wind up overseas with a chance to maybe come back and get a look from the nba. i think he should have stayed at u t, but on the other hand, i'm glad he's gone. i think u t will be just fine without him. the player that will truly be missed is tobias harris.

Good luck to Scotty. He'll probably live in a really cool place and bang lots of chicks and play basketball for a living, while getting paid a lot of money for at least a decade...

Or tired of fans bashing him. That is what i think. i loved the guy but the fan base was as split on hating and loving him as folks on the fulmer issue were.

Scotty's paycheck may bounce, like his moon shots off the back of the rim, when Greece defaults on its debt.

Hopson frustrated me as much as anyone, I can promise. But let it go. You guys been to Greece? How many have made 6 figures in one year? How many play a sport for 3 hrs a day for that $?
More power to him. Greece is incredible.

Out of all the places the USN sent me Greece in the one place I'd like to go back to.

I've missed Tennessee and my teammates. There was nothing like playing in front of 22,000 fans that were there for me with every step I took. It was hard to give it up, because those fans were always great to me.

Scotty's giving the "fans" WAYYYYYYYY too much credit.
