have you ever noticed he does not perspire. Rarely, will you see him breathing hard. Which tells me, he is not putting out much effort.

the assistant coaches, along with Pearl, should notice this.

One of the rules to all major sports is " Do not get caught standing around"

we should worry. if we do not see him trying to develop his game at the point is the season, how can we expect him to work his game and develop his teammates over the summer and next season.
he should playing Lt. for Captain weezy and the Vols. right now i see Freshman Hall being the leader next year.

IMO, Hopson is the most gifted player on the team. That being said he is also the most disappointing. He has the tools to be great, but shows no leadership, and rarely shows the aggression great players display.

Maybe he's dehydrated.

I coached a h.s. baseball team, and they weren't sweating. I knew they were working hard.

Turns out, none drank water during the day.

As an exercise science major, I have learned that some people sweat very little or none at all and it has nothing to do with whether their working hard or not, it's just how their body work. So I wouldn't judge him by that.

Sweat or no sweat, I bet he can beat 75%+ of the players he faces playing one-on-one. And yet how often does he really try to do so?

I wont bash the players who represent the Tennessee on their chest. i can think of acertain former Captain who is not sweating for UT for sure and 3 others. Scotty is LEARNING to be more agressive hence the 4 fouls quickly.

His fourth foul against Vandy was stupidity not aggression. If you saw the game you know exactly what I'm referring to.

ahh but there was a time when Scotty went the whole game with 2 fouls max. He is learning the physical side . It obviously does not come naturally for him, as Im sure all his teenage and high school years. He could just wake up and dominate everybody. Yes I saw the game I was sitting in my seats I have had for years.

I just don't see him ever being the dominant player here, he thought he would be when he committed to UT. He has never shown the physical and / or mental toughness to be a leader. I think he has the talent but is just soft.

He just needs to be more physical and get to the rim, that's all, oh and finish when he gets there.

he needs to be more aggressive, especially on the defensive side of the floor. he has to fight throgh screens better. he gets caught in the wrong position a lot.

As long as he can drain 3's with somebody in his face to win a game, I can deal with his performance for the other 39 minutes.

People forget he's a true sophmore on what has been a junior/senior laden team (especially prior to Smith's departure). If you can't see that he's starting to turn the corner with his aggressiveness, you're not looking for it. If he keeps it up, he will be ridiculous.

Are you saying he would sweat more on a different team?

No, I said what I said. I ignored the sweating comment, because it's basically nonsense. Some people sweat when they don't do a thing, some people don't sweat much at all. I haven't seen him being lazy.
