The only thing worse than watching the SEC tourney with Raycom coverage is watching the highlights on ESPN in REAL HD. That way we can see how bad the coverage actualy is.:banghead2:

I think we're the only major conference besides the Pac 10 that has it's conference tourney broadcast on a dumbass network.

ESPN is covering it, but Raycom has a contract wich blacks it out in their area, thus the ESPN HD highlights, but the piss poor Raycom coverage. But I sure can see the Big 12 tourney in HD! Sweet!

For what it's worth it's a little sad to see the end of an era of Raycom/Jefferson Pilot/Lincoln Financial coverage. I like Tom Hammond and some of the sideline reporters. In the end I think they did a pretty good job for regional quality, but I look forward to seeing ESPN take the reigns next year.

I just hope that ESPN puts a few games on ABC to replace the missing Raycom games.

Well, we don't have to watch Raycom anymore. At the end of the aubie/Vols game, they stated this was their last broadcast covering the SEC, football and basketball. I think ESPN and CBS will have the rights now. I believe Raycom will still cover the ACC for all you Ga Tech and FSU fans.

Raycom and the ACC deserve each other. Good riddance.

They will get replaced on all of the ESPN channels.

I think the early football game will either replace the Big Ten ESPN game or will be on ESPN2.

There Will also be more broadcasts in ESPN Classic and probably some on ESPNU, which will suck if Comcast doesn't get the channel next year.

That is really a raw deal for some older people like my grandpa who don't get cable or satellite.

ESPN2 HD W00t
It was just cruel having to watch the game on Raycom when you knew it was being televised by ESPN somewhere. Oye.

Which begs the question... will Pam Ward be coming to an SEC stadium near you next year? :eek:hmy:

I don't know about you guys, but I have ATT U-Verse and we have both of the Raycom (ACC and SEC) games in High Definition. I don't see the big deal. The picture was GREAT on my television. In the past Raycom has been pretty terrible, but it was actually nice today.
