Just a thought. We are all (or most of us) Tennessee fans. But we are bashing each other like we are talkin to bama fans. Just a thought that maybe we could disagree respectfully instead of bein so hateful with each other. JMO

This board is filled with 16-18 year old kids who claim to know what our program should or should not do.

it's embarassing.

Honestly, most of the hate comes from people saying mind-numbingly stupid things like "We should bring Fulmer back" or "maybe Gruden wouldn't be a good college coach."

Just maybe we could get a coach if we didn't have a track record of kicking them to the curb after they win a NC and have given there all for TN.

The OP makes a valid point. It's difficult to find someone who doesn't get bashed for stating an opinion that doesn't conform to the majority's opinion, no matter how much sense it makes. It truly is embarrassing.

Everyone is just having fun. Its college football and we're on an internet forum. No need to get mad or upset. Its all for fun.

Its a fact its alot different that pro football. Plus Gruden is kinda like Chizek and had one really good season

But since it's a "can't we all just get along" kinda thread, I will politely give you a brief history of the Oakland Raiders.

Pre-Gruden:
1995 8-8
1996 7-9
1997 4-12

Gruden:
1998 8-8
1999 8-8
2000 12-4
2001 10-6

Post-Gruden:
2002 11-5 (essentially the team that Gruden built)
2003 4-12
2004 5-11
2005 4-12
2006 2-14

No the problem comes when people take shots at our HOF coach every chance you get.

There was a thread asking why people are rooting for Bama. They are saying because their part of the SEC.
Well Fulmer is a Tennessean and Vol I will defend him all day and night.

If someone don't want him as a coach that's fine. All they have to say is I don't like him, I didn't like him, whatever. But when you throw insults and nit pick his career apart well we can do the same.

Most of them comments have to do with he just couldn't win, or they condescending or just plain rude. If you have nothing nice to say say nothing. This is a board we have no call if he is hired or not. Just like we are not responsible for firing him. Hamilton did that. He did use the fans push to get it done, but it's said and done and doesn't matter now.

All that matters is getting the best coach for our team. some liked Gruden. heck i said I would be happy with Gruden. But Gruden doesn't look like he's coming. Now with the search going the way it has we are very limited on choices. Everyone has the guy they want, nothing wrong with that. But we don't need to rag each other and be condescending and insulting to each other to get our point across.

He has no experience as a recruiter. Every idiotic vols homer seems to think he will automatically be awesome at it just because he coached in the pros.

His game does not translate to the college level. Only the most veteran of NFL qbs could handle his offense. Veterans that work full time at being a qb not part time amateurs.

Get a clue chief.
