SEC Hot and Not: Week 14 - ESPN

HOT

Tennessee defensive end Corey Miller: Entering his final college game at Kentucky, Miller had five career sacks in 48 games. He exploded for a school-record 4.5 sacks in the 27-14 win over the Wildcats. And whose record did he break? Hall of Famer Reggie White had four sacks in a game as a senior at Tennessee in 1983. That’s some pretty impressive company.

Reggie White was a good football player and an even better person. If team 117 had one ounce of his determination and will to win they wouldn't be sitting home watching bowl games.

Where has Corey Miller been for 4 years?

IIRC Miller was a DT in 2010/2011 and in 2012 he was a DE in a 3-4 which is totally different than what his responsibilities as a 4-3 DE would be.

I have noticed that most teams did tend to favor running those sweeps to Smith/Brewer's side over Miller/Sapps.

Unless I'm tired and got things mixed up. Brewer/Smith as both Will and Miller/Sapp are both Sam, right? Anyone recall? I've had to be imbibing through most of our games.

Yes because Team 117 had zero ounces of determination and did not want to win at all. Gtfo.

Lost due to 3 different head coaches, as well as 4 different DCs during his 4 years at UT. Not that hard to figure out.

Not to mention this is his 3rd position on the DL. Some of these kids really got screwed by all the turmoil
