I’m not paying $300+ for one night on the fringes on Knoxville.
Is cookeville safe? Idk anything about that part of the state. Coming from the west.
Thanks for any suggestions.

yes, cookeville is safe. Usually eat at 37 Cedar when in town. There's a Hampton Inn that isnt too bad.

Which game ?Might check Crossville also. About an hour closer(60+ or so miles to Knoxville )and has some decent places to stay. The state park there also has cabins but may be a 2 night min. if any available for the days you want. They range from $90-115 a night for cabin for 2 and up to 300 for 3 bedroom for 6.

I have stayed at the Home2Suites (recently) and the Townplace Suites (2 years ago). Both were decent/good places to stay the night. I don’t remember the cost. Home2Suites is right next to a Dunkin and right across the way from Interstate Drive where there is food/shopping. Both are off South Jefferson so there is going to be food and shops there, South Jefferson food places feel a little more run down though.

I have never felt unsafe there though. My daughter goes to TN Tech.
