Please advise me on a couple of decent hotels near the arena. We plan on going to the Vandy game and want something pretty nice but not break the bank.

Knoxville Hotels near University of Tennessee - Hilton Downtown Knoxville Hotel, TN

Have stayed in both of these hotels. Alabama basketball stayed in the Hilton when we were there last year. Both are reasonably priced I guess.

There's also a Hampton Inn that's about 5 blocks away (from campus) on on Henley St/Chapman Hwy!

I would recommend the Hampton Inn. It is nice and not huge. Tell them you heard them on the Sports Animal and you probably will get an extra discount. Also within walking distance to arena.k:

Holiday Inn location on Henley (I think) has shuttle service.Extra nice if room is free through priority club.

the hampton inn is pretty new, so it should be in fairly good shape.

I just stayed overnight in the Hampton last weekend and it was fine -- we got it for $89/nt. The Hilton is a little swankier but also more expensive. There is also a Holiday Inn Express at the Convention Center.

Appreciate all your responses. We got a room at the Four Points Sheraton. Hope it will be good, seems reasonable. Go Vols, we need this win against Vandy!:clapping:
