said Tuesday that the policies pursued by the Obama administration and by congressional Democrats are “inspiring confidence” in the nation’s economy.

(Botox may be the reason Nancy can't seem to be able to get her mouth completely closed the last few years, I'll bet if she could just shut up her national approval rating would reach double digits.)

Barney Frank said; "Things don’t turn on a dime, they don’t even turn on a trillion.”
(Barney, who chairs the House Financial Services Committee, evidently thinks he's a trillionaire since he can spend the kind of money.)

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles Rangel (D-N.Y) blamed congressional Republicans.
(In a related story he became very angry and told a reporter to 'mind his own business' the other day when asked a question about his ongoing tax problems with the IRS.)

When billionaire investor Warren Buffett says President Barack Obama’s economic message is muddled and undermining public confidence, it’s worth listening.

Yeah, the stock market reflects it. She doesn't seem to mind that the country is tanking as she fly's back and forth to cali every week on tax payer dime.

Last year House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made the
“most corrupt” list for sneaking a $25 million
earmark for her husband
into a $15 billion
Water Resources Development Act passed by
Congress.

This year, Pelosi ran afoul of federal election
law
by participating in an illegal advertising
campaign funded by Al Gore’s non-profit Alliance
for Climate protection.

The advertisement featuring Pelosi ran at least
300 times nationally, including in the House speaker’s
district, during campaign season, representing an
illegal in-kind contribution to her campaign.

Perhaps more disturbing than this incident, however,
is the fact that Speaker Pelosi has allowed corruption
to run rampant in Congress and has ignored serious
incidents of crooked behavior within her own party.

Pelosi promised a new era of ethics enforcement
during the 2006 campaign and she has failed to
deliver.

Instead, she continues to protect the worst of
the worst of political corruption
in the House of
Representatives.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (right) husband Paul Pelosi (left) made moves on the stock market this spring that suggest the House's attempt to break up 'Big Tech' won't hurt giants including Apple, Google and Amazon

'The speaker has no involvement or prior knowledge of these transactions,' her spokesman Drew Hammill told Bloomberg Wednesday, adding that the California Democrat doesn't personally own stock.

Paul Pelosi's bets on so-called 'Big Tech,' came as the House was moving ahead on legislation to break the companies up.

The fact that this will not even be investigated is sad. There is such a rediculous double standard when it comes to justice in our country.

I think congressional members and their families are exempt from the insider trading laws.

Yep. There was a similar deal right before Covid where some congressmembers got a briefing then they/their spouses unloaded a bunch of stocks. They're above the law.

So Trump's third biggest mantra was actually a Pelosi-ism?

I don't think I said anything about Trump. You are missing the point. They all talk about the swamp until they become part of it. At that point suddenly the swamp doesn't exist.

This has to be in the top 5 of stupid things we allow Congress to get away with in this country . I would ha e loved to have heard the original argument on this and why they should be protected .

Going to be SOOOOO sweet in January 2023 watch Granny Gin Breath give up the gavel to Kevin McCarthy. Then we immediately beging kicking the Squad and their ilk off of their committees in payback for MTG. Then, we start IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS 😁😁😁. If the Republicans ever learn ONE lesson it is that the Dims play for keeps and you have to play the game the same way or be annihilated. Not a single day needs to go by in the next Congress without at least one action taken to defund, investigate, or censure the party of clowns
