Sophomore guard Kaiya Wynn said she can always hear Suárez’s voice on the court. She’s a consistent, uplifting presence for the team, which Harper noted as well. “That's been a really good thing for her teammates," Harper said, "to be able to hear from her and have that constant voice.”

Suárez brings a different edge to the team, McCorvey said. She saw firsthand how Suárez’s confidence blossomed, due in part to her dedication to working on her own. She gets extra shooting practice at least every other day, and it will pay off for her this season. “(She) adds more depth, both offensively and defensively,” McCorvey said. “Her ability to score, her ability to push in transition, come off ball screens, post up and also defend and rebound. It's huge for our team and again, it just speaks to the depth that we have.”

...“She's very crafty with her passes or finishes, ball fakes,” Lady Vols guard Jordan Horston said. “But the main thing I really notice about Marta is how efficient she is. She is very efficient, she can get a rebound, she can hit a three – open three, contested. She's just good around the basket, good with her finishes.”

I've officially crossed into its all too good to be true territory. It's been so long since Marta played that I haven't even considered her when I make my sunny assessment of the possibilities this season. If Marta really is yet ANOTHER true weapon then dang, it's almost an embarrassment of riches! Let it Be!

Finding enough minutes for those who deserve them is gonna be a happy problem for CKH.

Marta will be a secret weapon that teams fail to prepare for. I think she ends up being our 6th man first off the bench by the SEC/NCAA tourney if she's not already there. I expected her to start until we got Rickea so Marta will be chomping at the bit to showcase her skills as she did as a freshmen wowing the entire NCAA .

I don't know if she will crack the starting lineup like she did as a freshman but she will certainly play a factor in how effective the subs will be when the starters get a break. I think she could be good enough to start for most programs once she gets the rust off from her injury.

I’m thinking that rust is long gone. She’s ready!
