How about Kiffin to Houston?

Think he goes to LSU

I hinted at that several times yesterday. Not out of the realm of possibilities but I haven't heard his name mentioned yet as being contacted this week.

Another name I do know about didn't so well yesterday.

Could be an option. Does Applewhite want to go back to Texas the way it ended last time? Houston would be smart to try and keep him.

The rumor going around for a very long time is Applewhite really isn't welcome back to Texas.... I have no inside knowledge as to that though.

Arizona would be a good job for Kiffin. Plenty of Southern California co-eds go to school in Tucson.

or Houston could throw the bank at Saban. That would be better.

Since all a team has to do is back the truck up and a coach would leave. At least what people on this board think........

Leaving Saban for another OC job sure seems like a bad career move... so having said that, I would love to see Kiffin do it.

I know the band doesn't have a history together but to me it's an safe backup if O doesent work out.

That's what I thought too. I think he will leave Herman for another opportunity if it's right rather than head back to Texas. Who knows though. Maybe he wants another shot.

If he gets put in his place he's fine. If he's aloud to run free you have the SC and Tennessee situations.

Who is going to put a head coach in his place? The AD who makes less than a third of his salary?

Houston should be leery of hiring someone who has shown he will leave a head coaching position after just one season. They would have to load his contract up with compensation clauses.

Meaning he needs a headstrong HC that's not afraid to handout ass chewings every now and then.
