This feeling is awesome. The thread about the Vol fan deserving this is spot on. Of course the players and coaches deserve it but so does everyone in Volnation that has suffered so many hearbreaks recently. I was at the UGA game and boy did it hurt. How are you celebrating this win?

I just ate a steak, gonna enjoy a 12 pack of beer, and play some poker with my fellow vols fans while we wait for the shine to get here. Party all night long! Go vols and thank you so much Butch!

The same thing I would be doing to drown my sorrows if we had lost. Essentially, all my reactions to emotional events like these is to drink.

I've apparently spent my first few hours post curse debating semantics, true fanhood and bullying in another thread. The joke's on me.

I need to turn on some football and watch the Red Sox-Tigers game on the side.

Just got home from the game with a sore throat from hollering! Going to have a straight shot of gin to ease the pain and then fix a Tanquery Rangpur gin and tonic and sit back to enjoy the moment!

True. I get caught up in silly discussions on here sometimes.

I kept smiling during the game even though the drunk guy behind me fell on me at least a dozen times.

I gotta admit, my first thought when I heard the kick was good and we won was "it's about time". It was more relief than anything else.

Now that I've seen the videos of the celebration and the effect this win is having on the Vol Nation, i'm seeing how huge this really is.

I have had trouble accepting that we aren't a top level program, which is why at first i'm like "Well yeah...we're supposed to beat friggin' So. Carolina....we're Tennessee for crying out loud".

The truth is...and it's been hard to accept, UT has been down...big time, which is why this game smacks of a sort of turning point of finally coming BACK.

Vol Nation is the best....period. Seeing Butch lead the band and the overall joy of feeling like we are finally back to being reckoned with? It's awesome.

At first i'm like "Act like we've been here before. We're UT. We are SUPPOSED to beat Carolina every time"

No my feeling is "screw it". Celebrate that we are BACK. At least right on the cusp.

I get it now.
