Does all this talk and rumors hurt our recruiting chances. I mean I'm sure whoever gets hired will redeem some kinda of a good recruiting class. But we have coaches going out to recruit who may not and very well will not be coaching here next year so how do they convince a recruit to come and how does a recruit agree to come at this point. I still believe it's early, but if we don't have anything by Christmas we may be doomed...

Try to get committments from 2 Star recruits. They will be happy to be at U.T. because their other options would be at Austin Peay or Valdosta State....

Mid December and this will be done.

They definitely have a target date and I would find it difficult to believe it would be after Christmas. However, many coaches who might be interested would be very hesitant to talk before their bowl games. It could be that they won't have time to vet all the best candidates before mid-January.

And that seems to be exactly what were headed for. Just settling for whatever's left

We have plenty of time. Some recruits are already committed to the university of Tennessee, regardless of who the coach is. We still have a brand, we just don't have a coach yet. If Dooley can keep the 2010 class together, I won't worry too much

I wonder how many of those calling for the head of Hart in the last 24 hours will be front and center come Spring practice declaring whoever our HC is to be the next great one to take us to the promised land. I'm betting virtually all of them.

Probably about 95%. Agree. eventually everybody will come around and get behind whoever the new coach is

Yep . . . Everybody needs to man up and calm down.

I agree and I'm calm. Just wondering how all this would affect our recruiting. I know some have already committed but in years past we all know that means nothing till they are at school and on the practice field come spring

Build back relationships prick Dooley destroyed

Dooley never won enough to be a prick. :eek:lol: At least Saban being one, he has won 3 National Championships. If Hart does not get this right, and hire someone who can recruit and coach. We will stay at the botton of the SEC. :mf_surrender:And Hart if what i read is true the only thing holding up the Gruden deal is money for his coaching staff. :rtfm: Then i hope your the next to pack up and leave town.

And this is how I feel. If we are to hire a Big Time coach it won't be until either after the bowl game. Unless they decide to not coach the bowl game. But to get a Big Time hire we have to look to the Big Time colleges. Unless we settle for a "up and coming" coach
