How bout those Wildcats

Based on this years stats - probably 17 of them. Although Liggins probably chucked up 5 in the last minute that went on for about 20 minutes.

Still trying to figure out why Gillispie sticks with Porter at PG when Liggins is the better choice.

By the time SEC play roles around Porter's role will be bench coach.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Listening to Larry Glover this AM on WVLK, he's ripping Gillispie a new one for being "stubborn."

He just doesn't trust Liggins yet. He has no other choice now the way I see it.

How is it being "stubborn" not to hand playing time over to a guy who refused to enter a game when told a week ago? Further proof that most sports talk guys are as insightful as a pile of limestone.

Actually, with the status of the league this year, I expect UK to have a moderately successful season. Not successful by Cat standards, but enough to make the tourney.

The fans up here are back are picking up where Bama football fans left off. They went 6-6 and are returning to their third consecutive bowl game for the first time since Bear Bryant was here, and they are ready to cut Brook's balls off.

They are watching a basketball team that is much more athletic than any UK team in the last five years and they won't show any patience at all. If they manage to run Billy Clyde out of town they have no idea how hard it will be to bring somebody else in.

Kentucky's jerseys are hideous today against Mississippi Valley. They'd be fine if they weren't shiny.

So far the new coach hasn't produced any better results than Tubby even in Tubby's last years. The impatient fans are figuring the whole point of the coaching change was to get better results immediately.

When do you think is the breaking point with the administration/boosters in expecting better results - this year, next year, 5 years from now?

Not this fan. You're talking about the lunatic fringe like "Chris from Richmond" that call in to the sports talk radio shows. More realistic guys recognize this season as slow, steady progress.

That was really my point. Kentucky's impatience will be their undoing.

With what roster?

Their most dynamic players, with the exception of Patterson are very green. Meeks is good, but he is taking way too many three point shots right now. He is a scorer, but not really a shooter.

They are in the same boat as UT right now with fewer athletes. One good guard would make this team competitive.

Looks like the Mildcats this season. I haven't looked, but how's Minnesota doing and how many KY fans would take Tubby back in a heartbeat?

I'm in the stone business, I believe you give many sports talk guys way too much credit here.
