All the things that have happened in recent years. From kiffie leaving in the middle of the night to all the bad bounces we've had during games in recent years. From prospects being overrated, to injuries, to being suspended or dismissed for conduct related offenses. To coaches rejecting us. This tee Martin deal is just the latest. Why would he have come and interviewed if he didn't want the job? Just politely decline citing not wanting to move again. Instead we grasp on to anything positive having been through so much only to be told he'd rather stay with the biggest p o s on planet earth. I've always laughed at people who said they can't take it anymore thinking eventually our time will come...but it never does. I swear WE ARE CURSED! It could make an atheists believe, because the law of averages can't explain how this much misfortune can happen to this one team!

There's been to much bad behavior by the kids in Knoxville. If we had just kept the players out of trouble and eligible our roster would have matched up with any school in the conference. That's on Fulmer, Kiffy AND Dooley.

Kiffin may very well be a good guy to work for. I also wouldnt be surprised if USC sweetened his deal there. Its a business and neither Tee or UT owe one another anything.

Tee chose to stay in Cali. The sky is falling. Must mean it's only 10 days till the end of the world or something.

Could be a ton of reasons for Tee to say no.

Maybe didn't connect with CBJ?

Maybe Mom and kids said no?

Maybe Kiffey sweetened his deal?

Maybe saw that 80% of the O was leaving ie. Bray, Hunter CP?

Maybe did not want to leave the #1 recruiting class at USC, see rivals?

Maybe he wanted too much $$?

Maybe he saw Cheek and said "Jeez get me outta here"?

Explanation for most of it: Hambone and Hart.

(As for Tee though - timing is everything. Just the wrong time for him)

Did he miss the game cause he was the one who ran over the gypsy then? ; )>

Hehe, no, if I recall his story correctly, the game was rescheduled to a Monday and he couldn't get off work and/or fly into Baton Rouge, or something along those lines. He's dedicated, though, he even rescheduled his wedding and honeymoon in order to make the 03 game @ Miami

Because believe it or not, some people actually make their job decisions after having an interview. An interview isn't always a formality, in fact in most cases it's definitely not.

It's because the Roman Room is gone. Without the Roman Room and pizzaburgers, there's just no reason to be here any more.

Was talking about this little factoid today...

Since 1998 (14 seasons) Tennessee has had:

*1 top 10 finish

*4 losing seasons

*lost 4 or more games in 10 out of 14 seasons.

This little dip has turned into a canyon, the downslope of which began the day after we won a NC. We reached terminal velocity around 2005 and hit the ground under Dooley. Splat.

At least we HOPE we've hit the ground!

Makes me wish we would have pulled it off quickly like a band-aid ala Auburn.
