How do away tickets work?

I have attended many home games as I live here in Knoxville, but I've never been to an away game. I'm from CT and still have family there and want to make the trip for the uconn game Jan 22nd. I wasn't sure if the UT gets an allotment of tickets or if I have to go through uconn or like stubhub to get them. Any information would be appreciated thank you in advance!

all away teams get an allotment so I would contact the ticket office. Here at Memphis when we receive our number, most of them are made available to the boosters and TSF (Tiger Scholarship Fund) donors first. What is left after a set date is open for the general public. I would recommend buying them through your university since they get a share of the funds as opposed to the actual home team and also you will get to sit with other fans from your institution instead of surrounded by the opponents fans on their home turf.

thy still have not decided if the game will be played on Campus at Gample pavilion or in Hartford at the XL center. If at Gample it will be hard to get any of UT allotment as it will be only a few hundred. If at the XL center you will have a better shot. If not go craigslist Uconn season ticket holders unload them like wildfire. FYI went to the Uconn vs WV game friday night "The Rent" is a nice little stadium....the vols rolll in 2015

That's incorrect the decision has already been made the game will be at the xl center.

That's incorrect the decision has already been made the game will be at the xl center.

You are correct. It took them forever to decide. Usually the big saturday games are at the XL. I will be there in Orange and hopefully Black Friday at MSG if they make the Preseason NIT final:salute:
