I follow TN basketball and enjoy watching Pearl and Co., but my knowledge of college BB is pretty basic. I have a question for you gurus out there; how does this team hold up for those 8 SEC games without Pearl roaming the sides? Does it make a disastrous difference? Can the assistants cover for him pretty well? I'll hang up and listen.

I would say it depends on whether or not he is allowed to coach practices during that time. I think the assistants could hold their own and still execute the game plan during games and make minor adjustments. It is up to the players to win those games.

I have a feeling we're going to see the team rally around the assistants and each other, or at least I hope that is what happens.

Word is that the suspension is just for gamedays which should help. However there are many decisions that must be made based on the feel of the game when to press, tempo, best players for scenarios. I feel that tony jones is a smart enough coach to handle the games adequately. This will not help our cause this year however, last year when we faced contreversy we rallied and played well hopefully we will see more of the same this

The team rallied last year after a lot of our off court situations, we had a coach and 3 strong senior leaders, somehow I doubt this team is going to rally after this, hopefully it does not start into a snowball effect, but if they do rally who is going to lead the way? Goins?Tobias?Cam? TONY? lol we are in deep ****, we will have to watch it play out.
