Biggest surprise will be Ainge's play. This translates to good receiver play and then free's up Foster to run. The wealth will be spread.

This may be true. Folks on the cal boards I've been looking at seem to regard our defense as the big, physical type. Almost nobody speaks with respect of our speed. One thing you can always pretty well count on with coach Chavis is that there will be plenty of speed to pursue laterally.

If Cal's coaches don't prepare their team for a fast defense, they very well could become frustrated....

I agree. Where the question comes in is whether or not our guys will be able to actually make the tackle once they get there.

You're right - special temas will be much improved. Much improvement in fundamentals overall. Stanley A. will block a kick - punt,field goal or PA.
