holy crap Will Anderson played a ton of snaps. 250ish more than anyone else. thats pretty much 3 games worth of snaps.

Good info.

Great post.

Only 17% of 5*s performed as per their billing (90+ PFF grade) and only 1/3rd of total performed decent (80+ PFF) in first two years of college. That is a very high 'non performance' or 'bust' rate for prized recruit. I think it also says how important development is for performance in college. I bet in next class or so a few more will show up and perform (especially those who stay the course). For some, the high school game never translates to college.

What happens when you’re the best player on a team that is in the CFP and SEC Title game routinely.

Georgia has probably played more games than Bama. I only say probably because I didn't sit down and check, but this years SECC and 2 game playoffs would back it up. none of their games played close to that many snaps. And at least Ringo has been a multiyear starter.

not saying Andersen shouldn't have the most, just didn't think it would be the most by THAT much.

The next closest guy played for TAMU, and they haven't had an "extra" game in a while.

One thing to note is that these grades are affected by the quality of the opponents. It's a lot easier to grade out well against lower level players on the other side of the line.

It’s because of all those snaps we got off against Bama this year. I think it was close to 250.

Would you consider a 79 or lower a "Bust?"

Would be interesting to see the top 300 players or so graded with their recruit rating.

This confirms what I saw in UGA's Ringo as a player. He was alright, nothing special. Yet accolades and wowsies happened every time his name got mentioned. Just not so.

I agree, he was a solid player but not the true shutdown corner we hoped for. His pick six against Bama in the NC game was huge and garnered much praise though. Potentially a very high ceiling in the nfl, but not among the best corners in CFB during his time at GA in my opinion.

I think calling 80+ just "decent" is an indication that our expectations are too high. If you get a 5-star who grades at 80+ for his career, you won big.

Ringo only graded at a 78 but every time I saw him, he was making plays and he is about to be a 2nd round pick. A 78 on PFF is really good, especially for his career when it's including freshman mistakes. Look at it this way...there isn't a single DB in the entire NFL who grades above 88 on PFF.
