How good are the Lady Vols?

I watched the last 3 minutes of the Lady Vols vs. Lady Longhorns game. Sounds like the Lady Longhorns may not be as competitive this season. They have a young team. The Lady Vols have 6 wins now and have beaten 3 teams in the top 15. The remaining schedule has Stanford, Duke, UConn, LSU, and Georgia. That's a tough schedule and may be hard to go through unbeate. If they do, my hat is off to the Lady Vols! :dance2: Pat has the Lady Vols play the toughest women's basketball schedule year in and year out. That's why the Lady Vols are among the "ELITE" WNCAA teams in the country. How far will this team go this season. Guess we'll find out after the Lady Vols get deeper into the season-say late January. Does this Lady Vols team have the chance to be "one of the best ever?" :thumbsup: They certainly have one of the best players in the country with Candace Parker. :thumbsup: GO LADY VOLS!!!!!

They have the potential to develop into one of the best teams ever at Tennessee. Good mix of experience and youthful capability and excitement.

The only thing that scares me about them is that they are so talented, they occasionally get a little sloppy and lacjadaisical, and a really good team could use that to creep back into a game or to take a lead late.

Overall though, it is going to take a whale of an effort by anybody to beat them.

I'm predicting one loss all year long...don't know who to...but it will tick them off enough to bring out the total effort...and off we go!

They may not go undefeated...but I believe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, these girls will win the Championship in Boston. With the leadership of Shanna, the athleticism of Sa'de and Alexis, the tough defense of Nikki, and...well, what can be said about Candace? Not to mention...our game doesn't slow down when we substitute.

Again...we may not go undefeated. We may have a bad game every now and then, like we did against Maryland in the Virgin Islands. But, I think, when these girls play the way that we all know they can...they're unstoppable.

I've been thinking that the difference between UT and UConn may be a matter of who has the best player. UConn won a national title before UT's three-peat in the late 1990s. Then, UT had Holdsclaw. In the early 2000s, UConn had Taurasi. Now, UT has Parker. Perhaps Summit will have the upper-hand on Geno for at least the next four seasons. :cross:

I just got home from the game and all I can say is YEAH BABY! I hate the longhorns. Can't stand them and hate to see them do anything good. We destroyed them tonight. I'm talking a butt whooping. Wish we could've scored 200 on them, that still wouldn't be enough.

This is a very talented and very young team. Parker is good and will only get better. She struggled tonight at times hanging onto the ball. I would have to say that Zolman is the most solid player right now. She was shooting lights out tonight. This team's going all the way, no doubt about it. :rock:

What a match-up its going to be When LSU and UT play Augustus vs Parker WOW or This Sunday Wiggins vs Parker...But seriously our team is solid this year we are 11 deep this year how many teams can even say that :biggrin2:

Cadance parker will become the first lady to enter the wnba draft her junior year and will be the best basketball player (girl wise) ever. thats how good i think she is.

I'm looking forward to see the Lady Vols play George Washington this coming Wednesday in DC. It's general admission so I'll probably camp overnight and be the first one in the door so I can get as close to the court as possible and cheer the girls on! There is usually a pretty good turn out of Tennessee fans to these games since it just about the only big orange team that travels up here!

oh my bad I will keep that quiet, but come on if she can dunk on a guy, she really needs to pull one up on pukoon cause damn i want to smash them in the ground. Lsu also, we need to tear them apart as well.
