He was pretty highly rated pass rusher and there was a talk of talk in recruiting about his athleticism. How is his progress coming along ? I followed posts on here for spring practice as well as most open websites (that arent behind paywall) and did not see much talk about him, if any ?
Some poster here had mentioned that a position switch to TE could be in offer .. but not sure that happened. I think only talk about him all off-season has been his citation by police.
That pass rusher room has some good players. Just curious on his path.

I don't have any info. Austin Price said during the spring that he needs to mature a bit (paraphrasing). That's not surprising, because he's still very young. With Ross coming in, the competition is only going to get tougher. I wouldn't expect to hear much from Bradley until 2025. I hope he sticks it out.

he’s not as physically imposing as his other edge teammates.

But if he ever gets out in the field I believe he’ll catch the coaches eyes. Some kids just lack the maturity to grind it out in practice.

Pearce was lanky as well but promptly put on 30 lbs of solid muscle his first season. Added another 10 this past off- season and.

Buried on the depth chart. My prediction is in the portal next fall.

word is they are experimenting with TE since he's uber athletic. Could be a sensible position swap, especially considering our young TE depth

Hate to see that speed wasted on a short field, but I'm confident this staff will give him every opportunity to find success moving forward.
Being fast is kinda down on the list of important traits for a TE.. its nice but not really important. Okoye always looked like a WDE to me in body.

Wasn't there another guy UT switched from DL to TE, once upon a time?.. IIRC, his name his name was Witten... 😎

Agree, he wanted to be a TE (and we sold him on that), but his hands are too inconsistent. With his measurables and added strength he could be a great pass rusher

I think he’s progressing just fine but damn edge is stacked. Ross looks like he could be the next big deal when JPJ gets drafted in the first round.
The way they are recruiting edge rushers it would seem part of CJH's strategy is start fast on offense, build a lead so the opponent is forced to be one dimensional on offense to catch up (passing). Then have the dudes to chase down the passer without having to blitz. I loved the way they got Iowa so concerned about Pearce that when we did bring the LB they tried that little RB screen behind him thinking he was coming along with our LB.. Only problem was he dropped in coverage in the flat and got the pick 6. It should be fun watching these guys pin their ears back when we're up 21-3 and the opposing O has to throw.

Another example of how good our coaches are calling plays. Our defense should become one of the best in the Nation in the next couple of years. What an asset to have with Hep's offense. Score often and shut down their offenses. I like the future of our Football Program.

Think Indianapolis Colts around peak Manning. They scored a lot, played fast and would force you to be 1 dimensional and then they’d unleash Freeney and Mathis to kill the quarterback. It’s a pretty good formula for success . Right now UGA and Bama are the Pats and we’re the Colts trying to break through .
