How is this team so up and down??? I don't think I have ever seen a team play on such a roller coaster as this basketball team does. I understand having off nights and losing to a team you're supposed to beat, but this is ridiculous.
I was looking at our season stats compared to our opponents and we tend to lead in every category, so where are the wheels falling off?
Last night I was very disappointed in the defensive effort as well as the free throw shooting down the stretch. We had so many Ole' moments on "D" I thought I was at a bullfight. Then at the end of regulation we shoot 2 of 8 from the line. Goins fouls out, which basically means he was reaching all night and not moving his feet on D.
This team has no identity on offense, all night it seemed all we did was have 4 guys stand around the 3pt line (which we are attrocious at shooting) and then have 1 guy work the block or high post. It seemed like there was no motion at all, all this does is give the defense a chance to rest. Then when the shot clock would wind down we would go one on one. Last night 3 players accounted for 59 of our 71 pts. We are very limited on offense and B. Williams can be so good at times and kill us at others, he has no idea how to use his body to his advantage (thats coaching).
I really think this season is a wash, this whole Pearl debacle has taken its toll on him and right now they only play hard during certain points of a game. There is no way we will beat Kentucky or Florida for that matter, I'm sure we'll beat UCONN because they'll decide its time to make a statement.
Its so sad to watch all this talent go to waste
