So, when all of Coach O's players are gone, will Ole Miss and Houston Nutt return to mediocrity?

I was looking at the team rankings in rivals and Ole Miss is #88 in the country in recruiting and dead last in the SEC with only two commitments.

Last year they finished #18 in recruiting, but mostly because they signed a ridiculous 37 players.

I for one think they better enjoy what success they are having, because it will more than likely be short lived.

Maybe three years? I think in that time, they will start heading back to .500 land. If Nutt is clever, he will bounce out of there before then.

But you never know.

I agree. I will be surprised if they live up to expectations. I think last year was a fluke.

the only fluke last year was beating UF. I still believe their real team is the one that lost to Vandy in Oxford (something even UT couldn't do)

I don't see how having one 9 win season in five or so years even qualifies you as mediocre.

Nutt can only live off Orgeron's talent for so long....I think they will disappoint this year simply because its a Houston Nutt coached team...Look at Arkansas under him...When they were expected to underachieve they overachieved or vice versa

They have a dream schedule this year. I don't think a trip to Atlanta for them is at all out of the question.

And we never will, as long as we don't play Vandy in Oxford.

i wouldnt be so sure, coach nutt is no dummy, they string together another 9 win season, they may dent our louisana pipeline we are hoping to count on for a few years.
