for CBJ to get to a winning record? For it to happen this year,he will have to win 6 more games.Does vol nation think it will happen this year or next year?

Original thread OP - Jones definitely gets his winning record this year. He has in year 2 at every previous stop, so why not at UT as well?

6-6 is realistic this year, 7-5 the likely ceiling imo, 5-7 still a possibility but hard to imagine us not beating one of Mizzou or Florida at home. (not counting post season)

Next year will be better but still questions at QB. I would expect to have 8 wins next year to call it a success.

Its the next year we are getting stacked to make a run and I expect to compete for the east from that point on.

We might have a winning record this year. A lot hinges on injuries. We're thin on both sides of the ball for lineman.

7-7,yea,thats why I said he will have to win 6 more games this year to get that winning record.

The VN psyche and our livers need improvement to come sooner rather than later. If we can't get to a bowl game and 7 wins this year then I am slightly concerned. Assuming of course a the roster is relatively healthy.

I believe (barring injuries) UT could actually get 8 wins (Florida and USC) are beatable. UT could upset Missouri. So, that makes USU, ASU, MTU, USC, FLA, Vandy, KY, MO.

Go Vols!!!

What? I'm more concerned about this year and getting to, at least, 6-6, and go to a bowl.

Man, you trying to hurt my widdle head? :)

I think OP was asking how long until Butch gets to an all-time winning record at UT. As someone mentioned he's 7-7 at UT with 10 regular season games to go this season. If UT goes 6-4 over the next he would have a winning record in year 2. If UT goes 5-5 then UT would need to win the bowl game for Butch to have a winning record at UT by the end of this season.

I think Tennessee goes 7-5 this season. They'll probably lose to Oklahoma,Georgia,Ole Miss,South Carolina and Missouri
