I'm really starting to question Hart now. Allowing Dooley to recruit an entire new staff after losing to KY was dumb, but is now officially Lane Kiffin stupid. At this stage, after the latest debacle, only Gruden can heal the wounds.

It got me to thinking - how many Div I staffs would have had this Vol team competing for the SECE? I think 80%. Truly - I think 4 out of every 5 staffs out there would have had us deep in the hunt and in the mix for the East. That's how bad it really is on the Hill.

That may be conservative as well. The defense should not be this bad; the offense should be, if nothing else, clutch. We have been taught how to lose by Dooley.

We should of hired Kevin Sumlin 3 years ago. He has Texas A/M 5-2 in the SEC and knocked off number 1 Alabama in Bama with a red shirt freshman QB. Not that is a coach.

I'm not a ESPN Insider but over at ESPN Collefe Football there's an interesting lead into a article Ryan McGee has up titled...

Vols, others could see quick turnarounds

So of the jobs that are open or might become open, which programs appear the most ready-made for a hero-making turnaround? I surveyed (and informally polled) coaches and athletic directors from around the country to find out.
Here's our ranking of the top five college football reconstruction projects that aren't as bad as they appear to be.

It starts with California Golden Bears at No 5 and for the remaining list it's for ESPN Insiders. I'm wondering where the Vols figure in and what they have to say about the program.

I've heard Hambone passed on Sumlin for Kiffin / Dooley.

Sounds like Hambone - the new Oxford English Dictionary entry for "stupid".

Now let`s not make him a saint just yet.....even if people don`t want to admit it he did walk into a much better situation than Dooley did.

Saban's staff at Alabama would have us competing for the SECE.

Brian Kelly's staff at Notre Dame would have us competing for the SECE.

Stoops staff at Oklahoma would have us competing for the SECE.

Spurrier's staff at USC would have us competing for the SECE.
