None that I’m aware of. So what changed? Based on the gov data there’s been a large spike in NICS checks which corresponds to firearm purchase. All of the evil guns are still out there. And you can’t say stress/pressure on people isn’t higher.

So what changed?

How so? Are people locked into their homes preventing them from acting?

Or are you saying there are no crowds so no targets?

Wouldn't mass shootings require masses of people to be shot?

Before your panties get all bunched up, I'm not an anti-gun guy.

I know you’re not. And I’m actually just asking questions. Something clearly changed. You brought up a lack of masses. Ok fair point. However the reason I asked this was we just had that idiot in Canada going door to door and frankly killed a bunch not even using a gun.

Oh, there are crowds. Lowe’s, Home Depot, Kroger, Walmart, etc. There’s plenty of opportunity. I think it’s that many of the places I mentioned permit concealed carry (at least in Georgia).

Duh...no crowds in favorite targets. Most mass shootings occur in schools, universities, churches, restaurants and bars.

There are more people gathered in grocery stores , super Walmart’s and stores like Lowe’s , Home Depot now , than in churches , bars and most schools . Duh

The actual number of mass shooting and how they are categorized depends on which tracking service you pull from . I know what you mean ( the ones the media runs with ) but the number of people shot and or killed besides the perpetrator is between 3-4 so a city like Chicago has them all the time still and according to the article I just read it’s main gang related . So a drive by that injured 3-4 people is a mass shooting .

Can you read? Shootings usually occur in the places I mentioned and not in big box or grocery stores.

So did people modify their behavior as a result of this?

Also I’m going to point out that possession of firearms didn’t go down if anything it went up significantly based on NICS data.

So it’s reasonable to posit it isn’t a gun problem it’s a people/behavior problem right?

But we clearly don’t have any click bait even for the media to spin. There are simply no events in the US.

And the guns didn’t just go away!

I’m not an anti gun guy either, but the fact that we have gone two whole months without a mass shooting and it begs the question as to what is going on, is sad.

But to a point I made the guns didn’t go away. And stress on the population is thru the roof. I’m actually kinda shocked we didn’t have any big shootings with the pressure on the people.

But look at the MI state house protest. People some of whom were wielding firearms but no violence. It was a peaceful protest.

Again it seems clear to me it’s a people/behavior problem.

If true, why? Why are these places targeted more often?

Plus, what about the mass shooting at that Texas Walmart a while back? Aberration?

I think you are right, and I agree mass shootings is a behavior problem, not a gun problem

@MG1968 had a good point too, many of the places that have large crowds through the shutdown also allow concealed carry. Just last week I was walking through home depot and there was a guy open carrying (in Alabama). I've also seen this is walmart too. I find it very interesting that these "crazy" mass shooters tend to intentionally stay away from places where people will return fire.

The left tried to make the Michigan protest a mass shooting by referring to some protesters as “armed gunmen”.
