My apologies if already brought up, feel free to move or delete if it has.

I believe Pruitt has made reference to recruiting “winners” folks who know what it takes to win and have done so. Just curious if anyone has done the research to see just how many:
State Champ winners are coming in?

How many did we pull in last year?

I know we can add HB to the list!!!!

Harrison Bailey
Jalin Hyatt
Tee Hodge
These are the ones I know for sure. Dominic Bailey's team should have but other schools in Maryland refuse to play them.
What's most impressive about Marietta is their coach planned that brutal schedule for them on purpose to prepare them to play a Championship. He built a team that hadnt won a championship since 1967. Heck of a coach imo.

What does that say to our fans that want to stop scheduling teams like Oklahoma for our OOC games?

That you can't expect to compete with elite teams if you never play them. Clemson is the exception. Not the rule.

For the last number of years the SEC part of the schedule has given the Vols enough elite butt kickings without asking for more. Once we can defend our own neighborhood then I agree, go take on the rest of the world.

I know Henry T. played in his state championship with a broken foot but i don't think they won.
I still count it as a winning attitude! and experience knowing what it takes to play for championships.
I guess we could expand question to see who all competed for their state championships...
