How many still think we can't beat Mizzou

We just caught a huge break! Mizzou loses a heartbreaker. Hopefully this takes the air out of Mizzou's balloon before we get there next week.

I still say its gonna be very difficult to beat them, but I think this is the best outcome we could've hoped for.

Mizzou is not a definite win by any means, but it's also not a definite loss.

It's going to come down to our O-Line (mainly Tiny) against their D-Line (mainly Sam) and playing smashmouth, run-it-down-your throat football and protecting Dobbs in the pocket.

We are good enough to beat Mizzou. I see a bunch of negavols saying because we just got shredded by Alabama that we cannot beat them. Bull crap. Missouri has been overachieving all season. I am not predicting a big win but I am not giving up before the game either. Our secondary is banged up and is a concern but I do believe we have the talent to beat them. They are not Bama or Oregon.

We aren't good enough to beat MO on the road....you have to be realistic about this. We have a lot of improvements to make b4 we start making promises of beating ranked teams at #5. Y'all are setting yourself up for another heartbreak when we are embarrassed again.

Spurrier spotted Mizzou 3 qtrs. and still beat them. Mizzou may beat UT but NOTHING has changed. They are NOT more talented than USCe... or UT. They have had a charmed season catching both UGA and UF after they were killed by injuries. Besides that, they've pretty much beaten no one.

UT was unable to keep up with the #1 and #2 teams in the country. Those teams have a marked talent advantage over UT and it showed. Mizzou simply does not have that. Again, UT might not win... but having less talent will not be a valid excuse.

Be interesting to see how both teams respond. Mizzou just gave one away but they still have the east in their clutches.

UT just got hammered after a big win last week.

Mizzou does a lot of things UT struggles with. Does Dobbs start and can he add a dimension that UT has not had in the O.

Interesting game.

They're a better, quicker, more confident, more experienced undefeated team. No, they're not Bama, but they're a much better team than UT and for us to beat them we're going to have to play a near flawless game and hope they play poorly. Just the way I see it.

Btw, trying to gauge how UTs gonna do vs them based on how SCar does vs them is not a good idea. Colorado State played Bama hard and much more competitively than just about anybody other than TA&M. Nobody thinks Colorado State is worth a damn.

I get that they are a solid football team. I get that the jury is still out on our beloved Vols. I also get that the transitive property absolutely does not work in sports. I was just getting tired of the bloody CORONATION of Mizzou that was going on here. They're pretty good. That's it. I still think we have a shot.

This is the same Missouri team we should have beaten last year

Our boys need to find a way to get as motivated on the road as they do in Neyland.

Mizzou has a RB named Henry Josey. You could line all our LBs and DBs, 1st and 2nd stringers, up on the 30-yard line, and put Josey back on the goal line. Fire the starter's pistol. Even with a 30-yard lead for the guys in Orange, Josey would still outrun them all and arrive at the opposite end zone a good 5 yards ahead of any Vol. As we saw today, we are reaaallly slow on D. We need some speed there.
