I don't think we have been "rejected" by anyone really!! Jimbo probably never had serious talks with Hart. Why would he leave FSU? Gruden isn't ever going to coach a college team PERIOD! Patterson would be foolish to leave TCU in my opinion and who knows if he was even contacted. So, how does that equate to rejection???? We still don't know about Strong, Gundy or Fedora and all three seem at least interested. So again, how is this rejection?????? We are the dumbest fan base in the country and that is sad!!!

What are you talking about? Media trying to get the news out first like election results is all I see. Don't pay attention to message board posters as they are not representative.

Honestly, we have no idea. We don't even know for sure any of the three have, were, or will be offered.

I have no faith in Hart's process or determination to get the right coach, but I HOPE we do..

I think people make assumptions based on history. When we hired Dooley, we had been rejected by six other coaches....he was seventh on the list!

They are interested in it because they use it as leverage to ask for a raise at their current job.

None of the coaches from any major programs will come to U.T. They may act interested in an effort to get a pay raise at their current job, but we will end up with Butch Jones from Cincinnati.....

We did not get a job coach in 2008 or in 2009 so why would the interest in the job change now?

Maybe because Hamilton is gone? Maybe because we know our fate with the NCAA? Maybe because our roster is better?

I dont know how many have said no.. I guess it depends on who you believe.
Some sources say Gruden was asked and said no. Others say he was never asked. Have heard Jimbo was asked.. Another source said hart chose not to talk to him.

You are assuming that we have actually offered someone that has "turned us down" in the media

I tell you what though...anytime news breaks of 'an offer'....the coach in question always says "no".

So in my mind, this news is gonna eliminate Gundy.

Probably no one has turned us down. We get cranked up about every piece of information that comes out and everyone knows Hart said to be patient until he makes an announcement.

I'm guilty of getting wrapped up in candidate X and Y based on insiders and leaks.

Hart, do your thing and tell us when it's done. It appears you can work the media well.

still pulled a good hire though.

on a scale of 1-10, i would give that hire a 7.

yes, you make a good point. they could have paniced and pulled a dooley. Jeff Long is good. He kept plugging and got a good coach.
