i can't stand is that Tennessee will never be better than bama. And that alabama is the best ncaa football team in history. why can't we be? because our administration doesn't want us to be and the players and coaches don't want to be. at least they haven't since 2003.i hate alabama always and forever. if we could only beat bama next season it would ease the pain. go vols!!

I love my Vols, but it will be a while before we're able to compete with Bama consistently again.

I hated to even say that, because I hate Bama (and, by the way, I loath Florida).

Any given Saturday - ANYTHING can happen in the SEC. If Bama ever thinks that a game with the VOLS can be taken for granted - especially now with what looks to be good leadership - they had better get ready to lose. :bammer:

Probably not next year in Tuscaloosa but definitely in 2 years in Knoxville we beat 'em.

5 in a row best 8 of ten . He's going to set unbreakable records. And we play that SOB every year. I hope we get the best out of CBJ and it's not his fault he has to play arguably the toughest schedule in college (GA/USC/FLA and ALA) every season. WOW!!!! We need more than Gen Neyland....we need the tenn national guard. Strap it on CBJ I am with you.

Better be careful the "u r already making excuses for cbj" crowd is going to come after u because the schedule next year is no different or any more difficult than the last few yrs.

The "Admin" has rock quarried us down. Not u or meh or da others. I just want our sports all to be competative mostly football. The fact your honor is the following: in my 50 years on planet "e" I have never seen such a gap between UTK and them (the sith lords).

Unless we start getting some stud running backs I don't see us winning for a while. They just reload; Yeldon, Lacey, Richardson, Ingrham. We don't have anyone close to this calibre of player.
They ran off 11 straight from
'71-"81. I can easily see that happening again unless Saban gets bored and trien the NFL again or Jones starts to get elite talent.

I hate the thought of this as much as anyone but they are so far ahead of us now it will take years to level the playing field.

Don't worry I believe CBJ will field a good team this year. He might not beat bama but we will be competitive. The key to our success is how our team takes to the weight room and to the play book
