I was watching the Home Depot College Football Awards tonight and the SEC Championship last weekend and all this year on CBS and Espn, I mean my God, why don't they just go ahead and marry this kid. I guarantee Herbstreit would be first in line. I mean it has got to the point where it is a little sickening, seriously just like it's 25 lovers fighting over one gay partner. I'm sick of hearing "Oh he's a good kid, or he's the best player in college football history". Oh I guess we just forget about the legends that have played the game in the past that are 100 times better than system QB Tim Tebow NFL Failure will ever be. I hope the Sooners beat them like a yard dog.

I agree that it's way over the top, but just think how much you'd love this kid if he were a Volunteer.

As far as how much longer we have to put up with it, my guess is that the fellatio will continue unabated until about 20 minutes after the 2010 NFL draft is over.

Funny, there were no complaints when it was Peyton receiving the same happy endings. Tebow's a great kid, on and off the field. I can only hope we get a player that has the same intensity, passion, leadership, and love of the game that he has. You only hate Tebow because he has kicked our asses each year we have played him.

Tebow is probably everything they said he was last night, but I did think it was way over the top. The video package was impressive, but interviewing every family member got to be too much for me. Save that stuff for the GatorZone TV show.

I just think they spent way too much time on him. They hadn't even announced the Maxwell Award winner yet, but they were basically saying he would get it with all the attention he got. It was like, "Bradford and McCoy, thanks for showing up, but this is our guy. We'll make it official at the end of the show."

It was definitely over the top, but I respect the guy. I never thought that I would say this, and I will likely get bagged hard for this, but I am a fan of a QB from Fla. Keep in mind that I still dislike Fla (even though I hope that beat OU), but I think Tebow is amazing on and off the field. I would love for UT to get someone like him.

Hats off to Timmy! :hi:

Even as a Gator fan, I rolled my eyes a wee bit at some of the over-the-top nature of their story on him. On the flip side, with the constant me-I crap we hear constantly about the likes of such athletes as T.O., its sort of a nice relief to have someone come along who seems to play the game first and foremost because its fun.

I also cringe now when Timmy's story comes up. He is a great kid and deserves all the recognition he gets, but enough is enough.

How high up on the recruiting board was Tebow? If i'm not mistaken, I believe I saw him on espn 2, announce which school he was choosing live on t.v. It seemed like the media was all over him then, and haven't let up on him. I'm sure he gets sick of the media.

I got a new level of respect for Tebow after the SECCG, I couldnt believe how animated he was towards Spikes and company on the sidelines after that go ahead TD.

he was #1 qb with most recruiting services, he might of been behind Mitch Mustain in a couple though :birgits_giggle:

The way I take your post, you think there is only Tebow or the bad elements.

Tebow is not the only one who is a good kid. Tebow is not the only one we would want our kids to aspire to. I would bet there are more good kids than "...laptop thieves...shooting an apartment with an AK47 thugs..or one of the menaces to society...".
