How many years do you give him? What will his record look like?

I'm really having trouble gauging this hire.

Can't do any worse than Rich Rod and this hire reminds me a lot of Tennessee hiring Dooley, a top program having trouble getting the guy they want. Neither was a sexy pick but very well could be the right pick.

he's a good defensive coach. keep the spread and robinson and he could win 9 games next year.

BTW, I was really wanting your Ducks to kill Auburn and Scam Newton, congrats on a good year though!

I think recruiting will be the question. If he can recruit, I think he'll be successful. He seems to be a very good coach.

Former Michigan assistant, Ball State coach, Toledo of Ohio coach...raised in the mid-west...I don't think recruiting will be a problem if he can get a solid defensive effort and win a few games next year.

The odds are stacked against him. It's an uphill climb right now to fix everything that's wrong at Michigan.

If he can recruit, he'll do great. Al Borges (who he probably will bring with him) was the OC for Auburn's perfect season in 2004.

If Michigan gives him less than five years, consider their program officially toast for a while.

He's gotta beat Ohio State, though. Unfortunately, unless Tressell gets de-railed, that's not going to happen for a while.

I don't know how well he will do, but Brady Hoke sounds like Matt Foley(Chris Farley's SNL motivational speaker skit) to me. HAHA

No it isn't. They, just like ND have been failing miserably at recruiting defensive talent. Get some solid depth along the front seven and voila, they'll be competing. It doesn't even need to be elite quality.

Well some should come along soon and point out his overall losing record as a coach and then bring up Dooley in the same sentence. I think they'll be glad they got him instead of Miles.

I actualy think it's a great hire. He use to coach here in Indiana at Ball State and is good at rallying the community and players and getting them to buy into his system. If he gets the recruits they will be back to Michigan football in 3 years.

I never thought I would say Michigan is in worse shape than us but wow they are in shambles....Might take awhile to get them on the right road again.

Michigan is still looking for the answers it seems. Rich Rod was a dice roll that crapped out. They haven't recovered from the Lloyd Carr era.

I think Hoke goes 3 and out.

He will not keep the spread. He is all about big lineman and pounding the ball. He will do good at UM if given time.

I do think he'll get time. Rich Rod would have probably gotten another year if not for the 'Michigan Man' garbage.

Totally overblown in my opinion.
