Bru didn't play either and I believe Thornton got hurt after his second TD and didn’t come back. I also believe Peyton Lewis got hurt. So rest is well needed. We had some guys like Sampson and White banged up at the end of that game so the rest should be good to get them close to full health when we have to play.
I remember the guys on TV says 1 Friday night game, 1 sat morning and night game and then a Sunday game. Had no clue all three would be Saturday. So that's basically 3 night games. AwesomeAs soon as finals are over I expect them to kick it back into full gear. We won’t play again until December 20th or 21st so we will have 2 full weeks to prepare for whoever our opponent is. Give Heupel 2 weeks to prepare for anyone and this offense is going to be hitting on all cylinders.

5-12 seeds will be playing in the first round… 1-4 will get byes into the next weekend. ESPN is going to pick the two games they want and then give TNT the other two games. Hypothetically, if it ends up Alabama-Notre Dame they will definitely take that game and if it’s Tennessee-Ohio State they would surely take that game too. I don’t think they would take a second glance at it considering you could possibly have Penn State-Arizona State or Georgia-Indiana.Anyone know how and/or who will decide teams are slotted for which game? For example, are the #4-#8 seeds tied to a specific time? I hope that is how it goes rather than the committee picking who they want where just for ratings. It should be arbitrary Like the #4 seed gets the Friday game and so on or backwards of that.

I’m not sure if the rules with the playoffs. For instance can we practice this week? Do we get a set number of practices? If I recall once you took a bowl bid you had like 14 or something. Anyway, thanks in advance
Oughta take em up to Newfound Gap for a few hours a day, colder up there than it is in Indiana or Ohio. One would have to think that in that regard, Tennessee being the upper south helps slightly. Knoxville will be the coldest SEC town represented in the playoff by a decent margin. They don’t have what one might call winter in much of the conference. East TN winter may not be Minnesota winter, but it’s something. If I'm Heupel, I make everyone on the roster do cold plunges every day for the next 3 weeks. The team who handles cold weather the best in the first round will win the game, and if we have to travel to Columbus, Ohio or South Bend, Indiana - we will be at a disadvantage because their players have had more time to adjust to a colder climate.
The best example of how cold weather affects outcomes is that the Miami Dolphins are 0-8 in games where the temperature is 45 degrees or lower with Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback.
