I haven't heard much about these three guys but do you guys think they will be the main three wide outs this year outside of the arrival of Marquez North and how do you view all of our receiver this year. Also who do you guys think is the one that will be the major player this year.

Howard will continue to contribute out of backfield if Butch keeps a wildcat aspect to the offense. He will also be a good speed receiver imo. Vincent Dallas and Jacob Carter will see a lot of time in the slot. I think Croom and Bowles will be our major contributors but tough to know how they will perform with little game experience

Why would the new coaching staff use the Pig? Watching last season, I can't recall him ever getting more than 5 yds in the wildcat at a time.

Confident Pig and Croom will be major contributors at wideout this year. Also think Paul Harris being an EE will lead to him making a bigger contribution this year than North. Bowles will be interesting to see how that progresses through spring practice. Hubbs has stated multiple times that last year it looked like he would be better suited at safety. Don't sleep on Vincent Dallas though who is really underrated on here. Was in the upper echelon of SEC wrs last year in terms of blocking (which CZA and CBJ have stressed as being a key quality for their wrs) and coming into his junior year could really come into his own as a Wr.

Don't sleep on Jacob Carter he is probably our best returning receiver. Talk about underrated JC will catch everything thrown in his general direction. Pig will either be in the backfield or the slot not at wideout.

Yeah, Carter is very underrated on here. Probably mainly due to coming in unheralded as a walkon and still does not really have a very large sample size of work. Plus, he lacks the qualities that really grab volnation's attention. He is not a flashy wr that will make those highlight plays, rather he is a dependable solid wr that will help move the chains. Agree on Howard, meant to just put Wr down and just group slot and wideouts together for the purpose of this post. Though, I really don't see him in the backfield very much as his skill set fits a slot wr so much better. CBJ seemed to agree when Pig was coming out of high school as according to a cinci rivals mod I asked when CBJ was hired Pig was being recruited there pretty much exclusively as a slot receiver.

I don't think carter is underrated he hasn't done much on field at all. If he is our BEST WR then believe me we are in trouble on offense. With that said I think Pig and Dallas will be our most consistent WR. Croon and Bowles have a lot of potential but no field experience. As a freshman to watch is Josh Smith great route runner he can get open

Carter played along side 2 NFL wide receivers. he may be productive this year but he wont have that luxury any more.

I am excited to see what Croom and Bowles can do. They stand to make the biggest impact. I hope people will be patient though, because it may take awhile given the QB situation. I really like the four we have, but it's going to take time to settle on a starter and then have him develop chemistry with the WRs.

A little scary to me that the two WRs that we're all counting on have yet to play a down of college football.

I am a fan of Carter and Dallas. Carter is dependable and will do FINE getting open with CBJ's "throw it in the inside hole" offense. Dallas is reminding me more and more of Gerald Jones, and will turn the corner this year.
Croom will be a real threat if he is consistent.

North and Harris are the future. A REAL future.

While I have concerns with certain positions...WR is not one of em.

We have enough talent for two teams. Two good teams.

Croom, Browles, and North rotating outside.

Pig, Dallas, and Carter on the inside.

Running a no huddle offense, there'll be plenty of snaps to go around. O and don't forget Harris on the outside. Great depth!

Yea, but coach Hubbs hasn't won very many games either.

Carter and Dallas both have proven they can play. If Howard, Croom and Bowles don't play well, look out for for North and Harris. North is a stud. Could be like Rogers and Hunters freshman year. They could see a decent amount of playing time and contribute.

I like carter ad have nothing against him but to say he's our best returning receiver is a stretch.

Carter had 8 catches and 1 TD, Dallas had 9 catches and 1 TD. Pretty close, Dallas is your deep threat and Carter is your slot. Both could be much better since the three main targets from last year are gone.
