OSAA Football features its final games of the regular week, as my sliding Crimson Tide face a #2-ranked Sherwood squad. Glencoe must win it to stay in it. Two weeks ago was a heartbreaking loss to Wilsonville which came off a last-second interception on what would have been a game-winning 80+ yard drive. 28-21 was the result, as the Tide went from 5-0 to 5-3 along with preceding losses to Hillsboro and Liberty. The ol' team did pull off a win last week, however, keeping playoff hopes alive. It was a 24-21 Crimson Tide win over the St. Helens Lions in spite of what was a second half riddled with poor officiating going almost entirely against Glencoe.

The Sherwood Bowmen come in at 8-1 and ranked #2 in 5A with 28-21 loss to the #1-ranked West Albany Bulldogs. Last week the Bowmen beat their archrival Wilsonville Wildcats 17-14, a squad featuring committed future Oregon State DE/TE Carl Sommer, a 3-star prospect by both Scout and Rivals.

Glencoe is fighting for a clinched playoff berth in the NWOC's 4-seed, while Sherwood has already locked up the NWOC 1-seed and a first week bye regardless of the outcome.

The Gallatin Green Wave finished the regular season at 10-0 and went into the playoffs as a #1 seed. So what happened? Naturally they choked as usual. We drew the defending 5A champs Ravenwood, and they totally shredded that great Gallatin defense. Ravenwood played 5 wide the whole game and we had no answer.

What has got me pissed is the play calling. Lassiter didn't call one single pass until 5 minutes left in the game, and we were down 28-7 by then. Pathetic! Ravenwood had all eleven guys in the box to stop the run. It was pitiful. :furious3:

Morristown East beat Johnson County tonight 17-14.

I was there. I had to go to my Alma Mater's first playoff game of the season, hehe.

I was honestly wearing a short sleeve shirt, long sleeve shirt, hooded sweatshirt, leather coat, two pairs of socks, boots, gloves, a toboggan, and a scarf...

And I still froze to death.

This is supposed to be Tennessee here. Good grief...

Red Bank and Ooltewah both won to remain undefeated. Oops, D-B will not be coming to town after all. Baylor and Cooper looked good on the high light clips. Cory Hall's team gave Maryville a good game judging by the score. More importantly, Ringgold beat our arch rival Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe 23-12. It was our 4th win and they remained winless. :birgits_giggle: :dance2: :yahoo:

So how good is Pat Ryan's son and what grade is he in. He had a decent game against Cleveland.
