Seems pretty confident UT is largely working though a negotiation with NCAA to try and put this to bed. If they truly cannot then UT may file a response, but largely are just trying to discuss wrapping this up and accepting final outcome. Lewis says 0% chance Sankey allows a playoff ban.

You guys should see the amount of rival fans posting about this stuff in FB groups. Wishful thinking on their part as they are scared to death of what CJH is building here.

From what I can tell they're going to accept the self imposed penalties and issue a fine. Let's get that thing paid and move on. Sick of hearing about it.

Imagine - years of devastation and turmoil, we’re finally #1 in the nation…SEC lays the hammer and bowl ban us. To be honest, it would be our luck.

You start the GO FUND ME page to pay that fine?

Right now the holdup is that Saban asked the NCAA to give Heupel a "Show Cause" penalty for beating him in his second year and asked the NCAA to "Pardon" Pruitt because he learned from the best but forgot to cover his tracks. The NCAA is trying to figure out how to make all of this happen without looking too much like Saban's their daddy.

Good stuff

Seriously though, this guy

NCAA President Mark Emmert

was at LSU with Saban

His administrative appointments include chancellor of Louisiana State University (1999-2004)

He covered up for Saban at LSU

Digging into the past of NCAA President Mark Emmert

At LSU, an academic fraud scandal emerged in the football program under then-coach Nick Saban in 2001-02. Emmert oversaw an investigation into the allegations made by a university instructor that eventually acknowledged five minor and isolated violations and declared most of the claims "unfounded."

And seemingly continues to do so

Alabama case spotlights Emmert, Saban friendship

Good news, Emmert retires June '23. Bad news, it really doesn't matter anymore

Brother, I'm about as much as a Nega-Vol as you can find and this is not gonna happen.

Too late now for this year and the NCAA knows it. Absolute no way in hell the NCAA tells a #1 team sorry but you're staying home when the season is 2/3 over

If they issued that decision on Monday, the NCAA would not longer exist Tuesday morning. When we start talking playoffs, we are not talking value of the enterprise as millions, we are talking billions. Nobody is going to stop the money train. Not even Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson.

The SEC office will be burnt to the ground. If they thought the Ole Miss game last year was bad, just sit back and watch what happens if they try a post season ban this year.
