Would Texas A&m win? Considering they beat OU, or crushed them. ND barely beat OU and A&M beat Bama. What say you?

aTm would not have been in the playoff, unless it was a 16 team playoff.

Were the playoff format in place this year, I would have to say Oregon would be the favorite.

If it were an 8 team playoff (not using the BCS) then I could easily see them getting in as the 7 or 8 seed.

Of course, the playoffs would be something like....

1.ND
2.Bama
3.LSU/GA/Florida/Oregon/Stanford/A&M
4.^^
5.^^
6.^^
7.^^
8.^^

And I can't think of anyone who would bet against A&M right now.

Not a chance in hell they were going to be one of the Top 8 teams selected. They were 10 in the AP and 9 in the Coaches.

I agree that aTm finished the year looking like one of the best two teams in the nation; and, yet, they still would not have made it in an 8 team playoff format. This is why the playoff push in FBS is absurd so long as the conference structure remains in place.

I agree to a certain extent. The conferences aren't so much the problem as the voters. The voters are the driving force here because they are who make the rankings, at least for a certain amount of time. But I get what you are saying.

The transitive property does not apply in sports.

^^^^^^^^^
by the transitive property, we beat NC state, who beat fsu, who beat Clemson, who beat lsu, who beat aTm, who beat bama.

UT> bama!

A&M would beat either team playing tonight right now. I see Bama winning by at least 10 tonight.

being in the playoff's vs. in a regular season is never telling of who is the best. We see it every single year for the NFL. In the playoff's it's open season
