What happens if Georgia beats UF and Tennessee,Georgia, and Florida go through the regular season with 1 loss....Who would represent the East in the SEC Championship?

was mentioned in another thread and fairly confusing. Has to do with how they're ranked in the BCS standings.

It would come down to who has the highest BCS-ranking, but if #2 is within five ranks of #1, then it would come down to head-to-head between those two teams. For instance, if UT finishes #4 BCS, UF #6, and UGA #14, it would be UF, but if it's UT #4, UF #10, and UGA #12, it would be UT. Having blown out Cal already will help UT out a ton if your scenario plays out. I highly doubt, however, that UGA will beat UF though. It would be interesting if UF loses 1 game (perhaps AU next week) and wins the East, but UT finishes #2 BCS. Very highly unlikely, but you never know until it plays out.

Not trying to hate on UF but IMO their game against AU is going to be a lot tougher that LSU. It is away from the swamp and AU is a very good team that is going to be very jacked-up. Also, no one in the SEC other than Arky has a McFadden. Generally speaking, I cannot stand smashmouth football but the Hawgs somehow made it work. I don't think anyone else in the SEC will be able to follow Arky's path to victory though.
