I realize this likely has been discussed before but I thought it make for a good discussion.

If the 3-Point line had always been a part of the game, how would the top 5, or even top 10, all-time leading scorers pan out? Would Houston still be number 1?

How far up the ladder would a sharp-shooter like Mike Edwards, Jimmy England, etc move up if they had the luxury of a 3-point line?

Thoughts?

Not in any order but the top 5 might look like this:

Houston
Ellis
Widby
Grunfeld
England

IF the three point line existed in the sixties, no telling how many points Pete Maravich would have had.

I have no doubts that dell ellis maybe would be 1, when he got the NBA he was a deadly outside shooter, at UT, he played inside, and still racked up the pts.

Just to put it out there Mike Edwards is my Gym Coach and he can still shoot lights out.

It's actually a pretty interesting question. Problem is, most of us probably don't know as much about UT basketball history as we should. Personally, my knowledge of the subject really only goes as far back as Dyron Nix.

Oh, and rediculously hot avatar BTW.

I would add Michael Brooks to the discusssion. He would have had more than Widby

There is no telling how many more points he would have scored. A very high percentage of the shots he took would have been three pointers, and I am sure the coach would have allowed a lot more if they counted for three.
