What does Volnation think Bray's development would have looked like, if he had stayed for his senior year under Butch?

I don't think the read option would be an.... Option. I thought Hinshaw did a good job with the QB's. No comparison on the overall coaching.

Bray could not run at all so the read option would have been put on hold. Would not have mattered though as Bray would have been following Mo out the door for taking the cash.

You can run a shotgun or pistol type offense without the QB having to keep it on a read option. Bray could have played in an offense that Peyton is running in Denver. They aren't running much I formation or traditionally running plays. Not withstanding any suspension, we would most likely be at least 4-2 and maybe 5-1 with Bray. Even though he couldn't make a clutch play late in games, his physical tools are off the charts. He had to make plays late because our defense couldn't stop anyone. With this current defense, Bray would have been good.

I think we would be 4-1 (Oregon loss) if Bray was on the team. I think most of our problem stems from QB play. Guys leave and graduate and it always leaves a void on the team, this is what happens when " Your cupboards are bare" it will take time. We are on the right track now I hope it pays off soon.

Yep. We are 4-1 with Bray as our QB. Oh well

I think Bray is currently in the best situation possible. Being under the guidance of Andy Reid and learning the NFL game without pressure of playing immediately will help in his professional development.

I don't think so. For one, the WR's wouldn't have developed any faster and might have come along slower because of his attitude. For another... Bray choked under pressure each time the game was in his hands at UT. I know a lot of you get upset over people saying that... but it is still true. I hope he grows up and makes a great NFL QB. He has all the physical tools to do it. They saw the problems between his ears though.

The guy would have been in trouble as someone else mentioned due to gifts. And... that's if Jones doesn't boot him for doing something stupid off the field.

And for all those criticizing Worley's ability to run the read option...

Really good situation for Bray. I think it worked out well for Tyler.

I agree the read opition is no where near his style of offense. Butch has done showed that he is not going to run anything but his style of offense. So Bray would probably be on the bench because he can't run worth a damn

Bray may have choked under pressure, but it was also because he had to score 51 against UGA last year. Our offense literally had to score on every possession last year to stay in games. No room for error and that made his mistakes more glaring. This year, he would have a much better defense, and we could actually throw deep down the middle if the field.

Tyler is where he needs to be. He is far from a read option QB, and is better served studying under Andy Reid. Hopefully he grows up some and "gets it" in KC.
