but how are you diehards feeling about Kim Caldwell so far? Obviously they’re undefeated, but I’m talking about style of play and how coach has performed so far—are you happy with the product? From the outside looking in it seems if she can recruit the LVs will be in the national conversation again very soon.

Check out her first high school class. She can recruit. Get that “if” out of yer mouth.

I was saying the same thing as them being fun to watch. They play fast. We lose the FSU game in years past, we get blown out by Iowa in years past....

With all due respect, shut your damn mouth comparing anyone to Pat. It is not fair to them and blasphemous to her!!

LOL that's a compliment for KC just like any other great coach when compared to legends. And with all due respect, I know all about Coach Summitt. I've never gave that compliment to any other women's coach until KC. I see a lot of the same traits in her that I saw in Coach Summitt when her career took off in the early 80's. So, understand what you are reading!

The style of play is exciting no doubt. And definitely can’t be disappointed with an undefeated season so far. Has a great recruiting class coming in. It’s not what we are used to seeing in TBA at all. But I really think young ladies would
Love to play in this kind of scheme. Without researching I believe we have 3,4 or 5 ladies who average double digits a game.

There will never be another Pat not even close. People should never mention any other name in the same sentence as the GOAT. The LV have been wandering in the wilderness for years and now look like they have found their way!

KC is not the Pat 2.0 - she is KC 1.0. Leave it at that

The Lady Vols that was here last year you can see a big difference in the way they play this year. The whole team is fun to watch. They actually play defense. KC has the #2 recruiting class for next year. I think there will be a lot of top talent that will want to play for coach KC.

From an outsider’s point of view, her impact is already plain to see. The rest of the conference will be working overtime trying to analyze and game plan for this team. I can’t believe any opposing coach feels good about going into a game for the first time against this system, it’s so different to anything else they have prepared for previously. Prior to the start of the season I predicted the LV team would likely lose only 5-6 games this year. I still stand by that thought. They will beat some of the preseason favorites in the SEC this season. I have recently started to think they might jump LSU this year. Top three in the conference is doable for this team. They are also built for a March run with their depth and unique style. Tbh, 5-6 losses might be too pessimistic.

The key with this style of play is if you will be able to perform in the half court at a high level.

That is my one small reservation, it would require a higher shooting % from the team if they get into a game like that, but it seems the system has built in advantages with turnovers created and points off the turnovers to overcome even bad shooting nights. It’s a hell of a thing to watch. CKC’s teams routinely get close to 25+ more shots per game than their opposition, which is literally hard to fathom. It’s like playing a video game and having a hack nobody else is using or aware of.

Rocky Top is back in WBB imo. CKC is likely the early fav for COY in the SEC. And yeah, she can recruit too. Your AD knows wth he is doing. Took some b*lls to make that hire.

You’re wasting your time my friend. No need to explain. Anyone with common sense understands the reference. Some need to get a life and understand we’re not curing cancer by discussing sports.

It looks like she has found the achillies heel of women's basketball teams, they can't dribble and they are not in top shape. Her style of play exposes both. I will wait until SEC play to see if its effective in conference play. The style is impossible to duplicate in practice so her team is hard to prepare for. It will be hard on the big girls because its up and down the court avoiding the half court game, they will be gassed. Its chaotic but I think it will prove popular with the players, especially if they win.

No we are not curing cancer and we understand the reference. Doesn't make it any less stupid. CKC is in game 8 of her career here, to put that kind of burden on here is ridiculous (even if it is only in that dudes mind)

You shouldn't assume people on here don't have a life. I play a game for a living, my life is pretty sweet and easy.

Iowa is a good team, but they absolutely melted in the 4th quarter (in spite of officials giving them a break with a prolonged "video review") and a lot of teams are not going to like being on the floor in the 4th quarter either. The most excited for LV basketball in a LONG time.

I like her pressers...she's not all giddy and super complimentary...pretty no nonsense, sticking up for her players, with transparency on where they need to get better...with a touch of arrogance.
