Let my license expire and Florida has made getting a new one after expiration the equivalent of rewiring the Space Shuttle blindfolded.

Of the poor souls in here with me, half are Hispanic (despite location of this branch in lilly white area)m

I keep watching the same dance as I wait my turn. Admin guy trying to explain to person that they need a green card if they want a license, applicant either cannot understand English or feigns confusion. Applicant tries multiple excuses or efforts at bewilderment.

Applicant leaves empty handed.

in AZ, he has probable cause. I'd keep a cop on duty and start a trail of tears south.

When I lived in Jacksonville, I let my Florida DL expire for two days and had to pay a suspension fee of 200 bones. To answer the question before it is asked, No my license wasnt suspended for anything other than expiration which was funny because how could they suspend something that has expired??

Admin guy seems to have a special degree of patience explaining the requirements for girls under 25.

Just sayin'.

Exactly. "Sir, it appears you tied your left shoe before you tied your right this morning."
"but, but...I actually have all the forms filled out this time, through block 424.7."

"Sir, right here, under rule 356, section AB (4)c6, that you must have tied your shoes in the proper order...oh wait, it's 11:30 and I'm on lunch break. I'll explain the rest to you tomorrow."

I think admin guy saw this thread. My license printed up 15 mins ago, but he's working with other people and licenses are backing up on the machine.

Actually, the employees here are knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. They aren't the problem.

BigPapa, that's a great point you bring up. Any irony in the fact that we marched natives out of here bc it was "our land" and now we allow illegals to roam freely.(Putting it lightly)
