Living in the armpit of Dixie, I'm constantly surrounded by The Toothless Wonders (bama fans) themselves. I work in Trenton Ga. where I'm still surrounded by them along with a handful of dawg fans.

I've already called it to my very few but proud fellow VFLs that come Monday morning at work, if UT keeps it close or by some random act pulls off the upset, we WILL hear " bama played their WORST game of the season and Tennessee played their BEST game of the season. I don't know why this bugs me so much, but it does.

Well, I just wanted to do a little pregame ranting...Thanks for listening. GBO !!!!!!!!!

I don't know what bothers you about that. It would very likely be true.

Tell me about it everytime TN wins there's always a excuse why the other team lost. ESPN is the worst for it. They never give credit to TN for winning a gm its always the other team had a bad gm or some crap like that. It makes me sick

Maybe...Maybe not. I personally don't think that they have played against a defense like UT's, with maybe the exception of VT's.

The Vols D is ranked 2nd in passing in the SEC and 5th overall in the SEC. Ole Miss 8th overall, and Arkansas, Kentucky and A&M are at the bottom.

Bama's D is ranked 1st. But there again, look at their opponent's defensive stats.

Also UT's offense, while not a juggernaut, is improving every week.

So, this being said, the Vols have a legitimate shot at keeping it close without bama having their WORST game and UT having their BEST game.

Other than SC, who could you be talking about beating? We haven't beaten anyone since just after the civil war.

I don't care if if Bama plays their worst game of all time... don't care if Tenn has to pull out the " Blubber" tennis shoes ( old Disney movie reference) to get the W... Just win Baby!!!!

On my way to UT/Bama in Birmingham in 1985 I got a speeding ticket in Trenton from a GA state trooper in an unmarked Mustang 5.0. As the trooper was walking back to his car he told me to watch my speed and then said "Roll Tide". Wish I had seen him again on my way back!!

Herby does give us credit. I think he is turning into a closet Vols fan but can't admit or he will get fired
