Just want to say up front that I come in peace.

Hello to everyone, as you might be able to guess from the username that I am a Alabama fan. I just stopped by because a friend of mine (a UT fan) told me about your site here. It looks to be a pretty good place to talk football and other off the wall stuff.

I have surfed the internet and let me say that there are some very unfriendly sites out there. I myself would personally not recommend sites such as xxxxxx or xxxxxx.com to anyone that was not a Vol fan. As far as that goes I would not even recommend xxxxx.com to any Vol fan. The management over there is somewhat weak and some of the more frequent members over there try their best to run everyone off the board.

That is why I chose to try and join this board. I hope that as the season gets closer that we can get involved in some good clean natured discussion of college football.

Once again hello to everyone and I am glad to be here.

Welcome, buddy. With a 'tude like that, you'll fit in just fine. And be only the third Bama fan in the long history of this place to do so.

I apologize if it sounded like I was flaming another Vol board. I just was stating that even just surfing over those other two boards that I did not get the feeling that they were friendly places.

I do not intend to come here and bad mouth the Vols or any other team. Afterall as a Bama fan I have no strong footing to go bragging about how great my team is. Right now all we are trying to do is dig ourselves out of the hole that Mike Dubose put us in.

I'm going to try and say this without it sounding hostile... There are some on here that will try and spark an argument. Just resist spitting back and you should be welcomed with open arms.

Welcome to the board. Excellent first post. Most of us understand that Bama fans aren't really our enemy, they're just misguided. :D

Welcome KingofCrimson. Glad that you found us. Everyone has places that they like or dislike but we don't really condone slamming other Vol Sites. Some of those same people may be members here.

Besides that, Welcome aboard!

Welcome King of Crimson....maybe you can give me some good advice about the game in "T" ville this year. Me and my family have tickets and need some ins and outs of the town. Again welcome to the board. :D

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I hope to have a great time here, even as a "outsider". I have always been able to take as much as I give without letting it get me mad.

Doc, there are at least 200 good people here in Birmingham. Of course, they're all former Tennesseans as well as Vol fans.

BTW welcome KingCrimson. They are one of my favorite rock groups!

King of Crimson, welcome. I saw your posts on a Bama site a few weeks concerning the Callion/Cotrell/Williams fiasco, and also saw where you were attacked for having a differing opinion than they did.
