Why are you blaming Bruce? Until we can find a shooter or two and our guys decide to play D, there's not much he can do.

You're right, on one account. It's Pearl's job to motivate the guys to play their hearts out on D. But, I really don't think that a coach can turn a set roster into a bunch of lights-out shooters. IMO, he needs to hit the recruiting road hard to find a couple, though. His style of offense depends heavily upon that, as he's admitted.

That's really what has me scratching my head. These are all Pearl's guys now. It wasn't like it was a secret when Lofton and J. Smith were going to be leaving; he had plenty of time to find a couple of guys to replace them. Instead, he's brought in a bunch of guys who are plenty athletic but seem to have trouble putting the ball in the basket. Why did Pearl allow himself to be caught without any shooters on the roster?
